...I recently completed my first self build computer project. After having bought a pre-build last time I decided to do it myself this time as I have been inside my old one enough times to know what goes on.
My last computer used unbranded memory, and I feel this caused compatability issues with components I installed. I decided to opt for GEIL memory this time, and have installed two 512mb sticks giving me 1024mb of random access mem. Im running the mem with an AMD 64bit 3000 939Winchester processor and an ABIt AV8 mobo and have had no compatability issues.
The hardware analysis software SISoft Sandra 2005 informs me that its currently running 1gb memory, which is acceptable. Ive run prime95 on it for 24hours including tests such as 2500 lucas Lehmer iterations and the mem is stable. It remains stable when moderatly overclocking...

I don't have time being like Albert Einstein who constantly gets shocked by the looks of his messy hairstyle, maybe he plays with balloons?

It has 184-pin gold-plated contact fingers, fitting suitable motherboards capable of handling a DDR400 (200 MHz) memory device. The Memory has one...

I brought this discs for about £6 or £7, assuming they would work fine... BUT, 3 computers would only read them as about 90mb, what's going on here? All drivers up to date etc. So, they were just led on a shelf doing nothing for ages... Then, when I... more
There are those that do, and those that don't. There are those that could but won't. There are those that won't to but can't. And, there are those that don't know any different! It really doesn't matter which group you are in, the recently updated Apple... more
My experience of this card is currently only short lived as i only received it 3 days ago, but my its a goody!
Compared to the shoddy 5 year old relic that was my old system (AMD Athlon XP 2800 with GeForce 4 Ti4600) this system wipes the floor with it more
