Advantages: Very stylish, reliable high specification PC
Disadvantages: HP software not really needed.

...The hp dc7800 is a brilliant consumer product, i currently work for a computer firm and we have had quite a few HP deskyop PCs brought in and installed for our clients. The Hp desktops are very reliable and speedy machines, they tend to come complete with manufacturer software such as:- - Roxio CD/DVD creator - HP system software manager - HP protest tools security software The hp software is not really needed but the roxio cd/dvd creatpr is very useful. This PC will be perfect for business use, and possibly a decent gaming machine. Samll review on the installed hardware PROCESSOR - Core 2 Quad Q6600 / 2.4 GHz very speedy processor, reliable and fast, perfect for multifunction tasks. MOTHERBOARD - Intel Q35 Express very fast and reliable motherboard, with a bus speed of 1066Mhz this mainboard would be great for business... Read review

Advantages: Slimline, only takes a few U's in the Rack. very reliable.
Disadvantages: The new HP Smartstart is not as easy to understand as the original version.

...For those of you who aren't aware HP have taken over Compaq and rebadged compaq Servers with the HP badge. This is just an upgrade to the Compaq Proliant DL380 G2. You are still getting one of the most reliable servers in the industry for the right price. They have also rectified the problem on the last model where there was only 4 bays for hard disks , there are now 6 bays, a FDD and a CD drive. The server is a slimline model and for those of you who rack their servers, this is ideal as it only takes a few U in the rack. I have built several of these without any real problems and all have been stable once built. The only critisimn I can make is that Smartstart, a compaq utility to assist you in building these servers, has been rebadged, HP smartstart and given an overall and so far im not impressed, the screens don't flow...
