The best thing about this over other notebooks is that the keypad is almost full sized. If you’ve ever been on an Eee PC for a while ... ...a while of typing. However with this particular model the keypad is spread out right across the length of the notebook meaning its only a couple of cm’s off being a full sized keypad. This basically means you’ll be able to type just as well as you would on any normal keyboard, and this is important when this could be something that your doing a lot of your work on.

Forget the asus Eee PC’s this is the new force in the notebook market. Rather than looking like a toy, and having a basic Linux operating system, this little mini laptop is just that. A mini laptop that runs on windows vista so it lets you do anything you would normally do, in places you wouldn’t normally be able to do them with a full sized PC or laptop.
So how big is it? Well if you think of a 30cm ruler, its about the same length of this. So it’s a little bit bigger than the Eee PC, but only by a couple of inches. However only weighing 1.9 kg your hardly going to feel this thing even if your going to be carrying it around with you all day.
Usually these things have a lack of memory, however this one doesn’t at all. Its 2gb installed ram means this thing runs like a dream and installing and running programs was really fast too. Also the capability to upgrade to a possible 8gb of ram is there. I’m not too sure if this would do it that much good though as the Intel Core 2 Duo T5870 processor probably couldn’t cope with it so you’d probably be better loading it to 4gb of ram at the most.
Another great thing about this is the sheer size of the storage space inside. The Eee PC hardly had any on the basic model and so carrying about a spare memory stick was pretty much essential. This basically means you’ll be able to type just as well as you would on any normal keyboard, and this is important when this could be something that your doing a lot of your work on.
The screen size is quite small, however not too small so that its limiting your workability. It offers a 12.1 TFT display and is a good quality screen with a good 1280 x 800 resolution.
Now the only real thing that it letting this notebook down is the battery life. It will do good to last you any more than 3 hours even thought its stated life is 3.5 hours of use. Although this may be more than the Eee PC, its no where near some of Sony and Fujitsu’s note books which are offering a massive 7 hours of life.
One of these will set you back about £550. A similar price to a decent laptop, and that pretty much what it is. It has a good specification, and good features and although it may be more than double the price of the Eee PC, its also better than it by double too. Even though some of its features aren’t as good as some of the top note books out there. The top note books are over £1000 at the least. You get what you pay for when it comes to note books and you wouldn’t go far wrong if you got one of these.
