Compact and neatly organized (Dimensions: 33.1 cm x 24.3 cm x 3.4 cm) it is excellent for both home use and professional or business work. The keyboard is of standard size, although the 14" TFT screen also supports wide screen (with a screen resolution of 1280 x 800).

The portability is superb, with a relatively low weight of 2.4 kg for a laptop with this screen size the exterior is of a classically 'businesslike' design and looks comfortable in any business situation.

Compaq's use of a 120 GB - Serial ATA-150 - 5400 rpm hard drive makes for an impressive amount of disk storage and allows for a large 1GB of RAM. The Intel Core 2 Duo T7100 / 1.8 GHz ( Dual-Core ) processor used also means that this laptop is of impressive speed and power - however, I do find the noise of the processor's cooling fan annoying at times.

This laptop however is not built for gaming with only an Intel GMA X3100 graphics card, watching movies or online video clips is not a problem, just don't expect to be pulling many Gs in a combat flight simulator.

However, Compaq have certainly succeeded in filling it with the essentials: inbuilt stereo speakers; wireless LAN aerial; Bluetooth aerial; card reader; and a DVD±RW (+R double layer) / DVD-RAM disk drive all of these together makes for a formidable notebook - however, when you consider some of the competition out there Compaq really seem to have let us all down with the price - over £1000 for what is really no more than a souped up notebook. All in all this is a great product, not so great price though - bought second hand for half its original price I would certainly recommend it as a good buy.
