I bought a HP Compaq Buisness Notebook 6720 (GR647EA) from a HP partner two months ago. He gave me the Laptop without the recovery discs. I found it strange because the laptops I had used came with discs. I requested for them and he informed me that it has inbuilt back up and recovery.
For two reasons - wrong configuration of keyboard and download of an update incompatible with microsoft office - I had to perform full system recovery twice. Each time the full factory image/settings was recovered and I did not miss a thing. This thrilled me because the last laptop (a different brand) I used, the full factory image/settings was not recovered when I had to format it.
It came with a trial version of microsoft office 2007 (I did not need to buy MS office for a while), a sixty subscription of Norton Virus and windows vista which can be a nuisance. But I understand that one can request for a downgrade to windows XP professional.
