Since my brother bought it in september i have used it a lot so... The shape of the screen is retarded, its too square, it needs to be more wide and the screen quality is less than hoped for a laptop which is quite new.
It is fast though which is good since its a laptop and its core duo processor is brand new on the market so it is capable of doing quite a few things at once and does not freeze.
It is prone to freezing on the internet, and when you try to close the browser it doesnt respond (ctrl+alt+del) doesnt help either so you have to turn it off manually.
The cd/dvd drive is up to standard and is fast. You can also burn data cd's and movies because the laptop comes with a program which can make movies.
It doesnt have a memory card slot so that isnt very good for a new laptop, but it does have a laptop card slot.
The battery uptime is over 2 hours which is great.
It is very quick to start up and has a system restoration feature which can get rid of viruses by restoring all system programs and settings to a particular date which you can pick, it does this without losing any documents and files (only programs, which you can re-install).
The touch pad and keyboard are very straightforward and it comes with instructions.
The speaker is very loud compared to many laptops which is a big benefit.
A bad thing is that its quite bulky and thick.
Overall i would recommend this laptop to everyone apart from people who watch films and tv on the laptop as the screen is too square.
i think this is a generally good laptop but the clock speed is a little low even though it is dual core at 1.83 GHZ its not great but the fact its dual core just brings it up to speed and it is ok at doing a few things at once. the screen as mentioned above does lack in quality as the picture is not as sharp as i would have liked it to be but apart from that and the fact that it is a bit plasticy it is generally good and is ok for playing games on. ... ...after a lot of use i found that the letters on the keys started to wear but i do use my keyboard a lot more than most people and thats probably why. so i dont think any one else would have this problem with it for at least a couple of years unless like me they do absolutely loads and loads of typing. ...

Advantages: Screen is brilliant quality. Disadvantages: RAM is low.
...This was bought for me as a company laptop in October 2006. Considering it was at the cheaper end of businesslaptops at the time it is not bad. Graphics are reasonable, although unsurprisingly no good for gaming. The 512mb of ram isn\'t really enough when trying to manipulate large documents. The effective ram is lower as the inbuilt graphics use some of the memory. The dual core make light work of most simple office task. For anyone looking at this laptop I would suggest going for the model with 1gb of ram. The screen is crisp and clear, and the brightness levels are easily adjusted via the keyboard. It is very simple to use, and the mousepad is a comfortable distance from the keyboard.
The build quality of the laptop is reasonable, although I have found the rubberised mouse buttons are starting to wear down after only a year of use...
