    Compaq Presario CQ56 Laptop...

I got my Compaq Presario cq56 about a year ago I think its great it has Microsoft windows 7 home premium 64bit installed and in my opinion is a 100 per cent better than windows vista so I was extremely happy with that it has a 2.0gb ram and amdv140 processer which makes it really fast to load from start I have three other laptops and this one is by far the quickest.

I have 217 Giga bytes of memory in local disk c for all my storage at the moment I've used about 120 Giga bytes worth in the form of films music and photos and after a quick tune-up with the HP built in tune-up utilities its just as fast as when it was brand new.

The high definition speakers and Realtek HD audio manager make the sound system together with the high definition 15.6 inch screen make it great for watching movies online although its not that great for listening to music.

It doesn't heat up to hot and the fan is quiet as long as you don't have the fan covered by mistake so its best to leave it on a flat surface. The webcam that's installed is a Cyberlink Youcam and its very good I've got some great pictures with the children with it I'd go as far as to say the pictures looked like they were done professionally.

The only down side I can think of is the mouse it fits so perfectly with the rest of the shell sometimes if your not looking at it your not actually using it lol also it has a lock feature in the top left corner and I cant count how many times its annoyed me when its locked by mistake also the mouse buttons are hard to press compared to other laptops.

Its durable as I've dropped it plenty of times and when the children knock off the buttons they just pop back on easily. Although it would be better if the shell was a gloss finish instead of a matt finish as its quite hard to clean and buff the scratches off.

I would have liked a HDMI port to connect it to my television. It has 3 USB ports a Ethernet port and a VGA port and the DVD burner is great with my Nero program there's not much else I can say about this laptop it cost me just over £300 and in my opinion it is excellent value for money.

Hi and welcome to ciao. If you don't mind a small tip - it really helps to read a number of vu rated reviews. I don't want to give you another low rate as a new member - but if you could edit in a bit more detail and let me know I'd be happy to give a higher rate. Perhaps mention battery life, start up time and loading pages, speakers, and if you have used this for any games, please mention thata s well. All the best
