The HP Compaq t5125 Thin Client delivers all the advantages of server-based computing for task-oriented workers using general office applications or your specific line of business software. Simply designed as a connectivity appliance.
...I've just upgraded 4 machines at work, to the HPthinclient, for improved connectivity, and also for space issues.
The PC's themselves are a doddle to fix up, taking possibly a max of 15-20mins from start to finish.
The thinclient has a nice built in speaker and an abundance of USB ports, which should satisfy most users (6 ports in all, 2 front, 4 back)
Bootup speed on these machines is good too, from powering on, i would estimate that it takes 20 seconds to reach the network logon screen on our machines, which is a lot faster than our old machines, which would usually take between 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 mins, then go through a dual login (login to the pc itself, then login to the remote desktop connection) whereas the thinclient is set to autoload the login for the remote desktop connection.

...of competitor companies such as Toshiba.
HP have certainly created a great design for this device and it is a similar shape to the previous models of the iPAQs, therefore the existing sleeves and accessories available are also suited perfectly for this pocket PC as well as all the others. So buying this pocket PC may be simply an upgrade to your previous, so make sure you don't throw away any accessories you may have if you are going to buy this.
This pocket PC comes with a fairly compact adapter and another advantage of this is that you are able to charge your iPAQ whilst on the road by simply attaching a small dongle to the end of the power chord.

A “thinclient” is a device that enables all applications to be run from a single server instead of the applications been run from the individual persons computer. Compaq evo thinclientT20 otherwise known as the “thinclient” for people in the trade. Compaq evo is a Microsoft based terminal, which means it has the ability to connect over a network to an operating system (server) which has a citrix metaframe software operating.
Thinclient enables the server to control all applications, processing and storage. This means all applications are run from a single server, thus the thinclient is used to process keyboard input and screen output, and hence is where the users applications and folders stay.

Bought these as I was looking for a cheap pair of over-ear headphones with a long cable and a 1/4inch jack for use with an amplifier. Most headphones I saw had short cables (5 foot or less) or had just 35mm (mini) jacks. These headphones have a 2 metre... more
