It does appear to be a large amount of money, but many other departments in the NHS and social services are in the same boat so we will be able to share with them. We charge reasonable rates; enough to cover the price of inks, wear and tear plus a few pence profit per sheet but we expect them to supply paper- if they don?t we charge over the market price for the inconvenience. We charge more for A1 prints as these have to be fed in individually unless they provide a staff member to do this and we charge less for A2 as these are automatic. This printer over its first month generated enough to cover a ¼ of its cost which isn?t bad

The HPdesignJet printer, was purchase from the dreaded PC world complete with stand.
**Looks**
It's about 1500mm wide, so it's not suitable for a standard PC desk.
It has a 50mm x 40mm display with three easy to push buttons.
It has an ocean blue strip on the lid and the receiver tray is the same colour.
The large lid lifts to show the internal parts, all printing stops if this is lifted - good safety feature.
To the right hand side is where the cartridges are held.
The stand is an optional extra but well worth it as it takes up a lot of room. This is matt dark grey, with a foldable paper catcher. The catcher is ideal for large A1 prints when leaving the room. (This is because if the prints fall the paper becomes creased, no good for issuing to others)

Advantages: Has an inbuilt camera and in full colour. Disadvantages: Screen not very visible in bright light. Software can be slow.

Keypad lock
This avoids accidental calls. If you want you can have it turn on automatically after 25 seconds (Settings ? Locks ? Auto Locks).

A downside to the Sony Ericsson T610 is visibility of the screen when it is bright. This may pose a problem when out in direct sunlight. Also I have found the software to be slow on a number of occasions.
