I have been using this printer for more than one year and I am quiet happy with its performance but simply, It could be a little better.
HP deskjet 3920 takes its position seriously for a simple printer. Also the price is much cheaper than others. Though my printer is older than 1 years, I don't print very often but I am already out of cartidge.
I usually use my printer to print out my homeworks and school reports. It's printing speed is not the best I must say. If you stay until the last day then you better go and print your documents somewhere else that provides faster printing :)
Another disadvantage of this printer is: It grabs more than one paper sometimes and it really makes everything a mess if you are printing out a large document which is about 10 pages you should be doing the paper grabbing job instead of the printer if you don't want to print them again.
My personal experience showed me that I should have paid a little more and bought a little better printer. A friend of me has a printer with photocopy, fax and many features as I remember it was 3 times more expensive than this one but I am sure it could be used for longer years as my printer doesn't seem to stand much more :))
I should also say that for an affordable printer this one is really easy to use (except paper grabbing function) and very easy to install. Hp does that job really well. The software guides you step by step and some auto updates are available. I don't think they would be very useful for that simple one though.
Well, to sum up: If printing is not an essential thing for you and if you don't print very large documents and very often, you can use that one to print out your simple documents so you won't need to travel around with your memory stick for a single page of document but don't expect much more.
Advantages: Cheap, fast, clear print Disadvantages: doesn't last
I bought an HP 3920 in 2007. It was in fact the cheapest model that time. I was banking on it because I have no budget for a better model. Besides I thought I would use the cheaper printer first then buy another one when I have the money.
I like the product. It could print fast and the pictures and texts are very clear. My only regret in buying it was that it didn't last long. I brought it to the repair shop and it worked again but only for a few ... ...cannot use my HP 3920 so I couldn't print anything in my computer.
The advantage of buying HP 3920 is it's price but it has more disadvantages to the user. I would advice those who are fond of cheap goods to look at the quality of the product you are buying instead of the price. ...

Advantages: An Easy to Instal and Use Printer Disadvantages: Careful with the Ink Cartridge
Almost 6 months today using my 3920. No single trouble so far. Even though use it to print in many media, like Photo Paper or Plain one for dozen a day. Photo printout lasting depends on the media, but still perfect result. couldn't compare it with it's price so cheap.
When installing new ink cartridge please pay attention on these: Never touch on the head, always put it in safe place and close the head carefully with plastic tape if it is not in ... ...time and leave your printer, take the cartridge out of printer and save it in its place and close the head with tape and its cap.
Also for the new user, if you plan not to print with color cartridge, just keep the color cartridge closed/sealed and use only the black cartridge. ...
