Advantages Advantages Best quality is decent

Disadvantages Disadvantages Does not compare anymore to current printers

Now the main question that should be asked about this printer is, should you buy it? Simply the answer will be no, however it does not mean that in its time it was not a classic printer, and a printer in the deskjet range that a lot of people owned. As a matter of fact, I have a confession, I still have mine and use it as a primary printer on a regular basis. Well enough about me and my love story of the printer, and more of the technical aspects itself. In terms of the print speed, which I guess is the most important aspect, you will never find this printing out at the speed of a laser ... more

Advantages Advantages Good quality; fast; easy on the ink cartridges

Disadvantages Disadvantages Shakes the table it is one quite a lot!

I have owned a HP710c printer for almost two years now, and I cannot fault one single thing about it. Number one, it looks good, which is always a bonus though never essential. Most importantly though is its performance. Most of the time, I print using the 'Econofast' setting. While this saves a lot of ink, the quality is almost as high, and the speed at which it prints in black and white is amazing, about as quick as any home inkjet printer i've ever seen, and generally quicker than most. Even on the the 'Normal' setting, speed is still very good, and quality is excellent, with virtually no ... more

Advantages Advantages Reliable, easy to operate, good value for money

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Cartridges are expensive

I have had the Hewlett-Packard deskjet 710c for about 2 years now and certainly wouldn't change it for a different model. I get this printer as part of a package deal from Currys, but only by sheer luck, as the printer that I was supposed to get was a canon and was out of stock so I got an upgraded one (HP deskjet 710c.) After looking at the canon I'm glad it was out of stock, because although it was small my boyfriend has one and I don't think a lot to it as it doesn't print properly. The Hewlett-Packard deskjet 710c is beige in colour and although it is quite a large model compared to other ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap, reliable, good quality

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Bit slow

When you buy a computer set up these days you invariably get a printer thrown in with it as part of the deal, but inevitably you normally get a pretty ropey one, either discontinued or not really up to the mark. When I got my set up a couple of years ago I was lucky enough to get the HP 710C as part of the deal and I've been pretty pleased with it overall. The text print is very acceptable although you need to watch you don't snatch the paper out too quickly cos it has a terrible habit of smudging if you're not careful. The colour printing is also pretty good for such a relatively cheap ... more

Advantages Advantages Looks nice and prints very fast

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

I was brought this printer 18 months ago now and have never had any problems with it up until now. When I brought it, it cost £99.00 from Comets. I use HP premium photo paper, which produces excellent photos that look and feel like the real thing. When printing you can chose from Best, Normal or EconoFast in setup, I print in Normal but have tried Best. EconoFast is for a faster print out, you can chose paper size and paper type in setup. Toolbox, which includes ‘how do I’, ‘troubleshooting’ and ‘printer services’ these are all very helpful and useful ... more
