    My home printer after three years decided that it no longer wanted to print. I then had to weight up the cost of getting the old printer repaired or going out and purchasing a new printer. I looked around and realised that printers were very cheap and that there was no contest, I opted to buy a new one.     First and foremost the HP Deskjet 1050 does not come with a USB cable. I already knew this but so many people are outradged to find there isn't one included I thought I'd mention it just to set the record straight. This all in one printer does exactly what it says on the box. Very reasonable price £29.99 from Tesco. Very easy to set up and install, instructions and set up disc are included. Comes complete with black and colour ink cartridges, it is optimised for efficient engery use complete with eco friendly reuseable bag for transportation purposes.     Before I start the review, I'd like to say that I simply love this printer as I got it for just 9 pounds as it was on discount on a bookshop in Hong Kong. I am so happy.     Ive always had problems with different printers that arent well known brands so I thought I was coosing a safe bet going with HP but i was wrong. Not only doesnt the qualitity of the things you print are not up the scratch. It doesnt print straightaway you have to wait on average 3 days to get what ever you wanted to print but usually by then it isnt of use. I have tried just about everything to get it to work but only on very rare times that it has printed properally and straight away.     I bought this printer when my Dell all in one printer packed up and I didn't have a lot of money to spare for a replacement. The HP Deskjet1050 was the cheapest printer-copier-scanner I could find. So I ordered it. When it arrived I was very pleased with the look and size of it, and with the fact that it was so easy to install. It works beautifully and actually prints more quickly than my Dell used to. The inks are cheaper to replace too! It does everything I need a printer to do. I am impressed that HP can market a product which is so functional and easy to use at such a competitive price.
