Advantages: Low cost and high quality printing Disadvantages: Print cartridge cost
...The first time I used HP replacements and the cartridges were between £25 & £30 each. The second time I used an alternative from PC world, which were closer to £20 each. It is worth shopping around for replacements or considering getting your empty ones re-filled.
The printer itself is not expensive and should be purchased for approximately £50
For the money, I think this is an excellent printer and would recommend it. I have not had any problems ...

Advantages: Good Price, Good Quality, Good Speed Disadvantages: Ink Cartridges as usual - Try others
I purchased this printer at the same time as my computer and scanner and I worked it out that including special offers the printer cost around £45, been delighted with it ever since !
Incidentally it uses the same cartridges as my multifunctional machine ( See an office for the missus ) and thats something everyone should bear in mind when making a purchase.

slide out the old and slide in the new and reclip in place. Making sure of course that you remove any protective covering.
SPEED
I never worry much about manufacturers quotes simply because they will seek to gain the merest inch on testing so I only use them as a guide.
From my point of view this machine prints fast in black and white and a little slower in colour as you would expect. I would be surprised if anyone was to be displeased ...

Ok then, I got this printer as part of a common PC package from PC World, but I'm informed that you can buy it for £72 at Amazon, if it hasn't been discontinued from the stock as it might well have been.
The printer's dpi (dots per inch) is 1200 x 1200, which is not bad at all, and on print outs of color pictures, you can really see the difference it makes. The printer can take three different types of Hewlett Packard ink cartridges: Black (number ... ...cost of them are around £20-£25 each, so a little bit of advice from me is to get them refilled once they have run out. And on the issue of them running out, since when I first got the printer in October 2002 amazingly the ink cartridges haven't run out yet, puzzled? So am I.
The printer uses a USB port at the back of your processor, not using a fire wire cable, which it doesn't come with. The main reason for that is that, since USB 2.0 has arrived, ...

Also, ink cartridges are quite expensive, but this is a common problem to all HP printers, and I suggest you get compatible non-branded ones.
Overall, I would recommend this printer for the home user who whishes to print standard documents and good quality pictures. ...

Advantages: Ink Lasts a long time Disadvantages: Printing can be slow
I've had this printer a couple of years now. Its been reliable throughout and has easily fulfilled by needs.
Its different standards of printing allows you to choose the equivalent between quality and speed. At best quality the printer really does well and although the printing is slow, the quality is very and ideal for holiday pictures. On glossy paper, they come to life.
At lowest quality, its still ok for general use and is a lot quicker. The ... ...is slightly higher, the speed is quite a bit slower.
Ive only used HP's ink cartridge replacements and have no problems. i use the printer often and still only have to replace it once every few moths.
The paper feed is ok but is one of the only problems I've had. OCassionaly it will take more than one sheet in and very occasionally it brings up paper jam for no reason. The envelope feed works fine.
I use it through USB and it appears to have a ...
