Advantages: Easy to use, good picture quality
Disadvantages: Fairly large by modern standards

...I was able to obtain this at a very advantageous price: at full RRP I probably would not have chosen it. Very easy to set up, though sometimes switching between the many options in the set-up menus can be cumbersome. Has the option of DVI input which not all projectors have, which suits my Apple Powerbook well, and I've been able to do joint presentations with both my Powerbook and someone else's PC-laptop plugged into the projector simulatneously, switching back and forth between the two computers simply using the projector's remote control. As with all DLP projectors the colours look a bit cold on screen, even after profiling with a Spyder, but it is a lot better than other (more expensive!) DLP projectors which I've seen in action.... Advantages: Bright Clear display

...The HP MP3130 digital light processing (DLP) projector differs from most others in the market as it sits vertically rather than horizontally. HP's reasoning behind this is that, if placed on a table, it will be able to rise above the coffee cups and notebooks. Weighing less than 2kg, it's also extremely portable. Buttons and sockets are clearly labelled on the unit and it comes complete with a remote control. The remote feels a little delicate, especially when extended to it's full length, but it does include a handy laser pointer. The DLP chip housed within the MP3130 consists of more than one million mirrors that reflect that reflect individual pixels onto the screen. Advantages: Inexpensive
Disadvantages: Not too user-friendly

...My HP Scanjet 2400 experience began when I inserted the installation CD, this began to run and immediately stopped with a 'Macromedia Projector' error message. I presume 'Macromedia Projector' is software used to momentarily give a flashy display before the installation starts. Overkill that died!!! I am running Windows XP Service Pack 2 so my guess is that there was a conflict. So I explored the CD, found the Setup files and ran these to install the software. I think this worked, although I have no idea if I got the full software set. Next I tried to scan a series of A4 (paper size) documents as A4 documents using the HP Director control software. Could I do this? Not without a good deal of manual intervention because after each scan the scanner insisted on removing the margins and I had to manually drag them back into place... Read review
