I have only use the Laptop for 2 weeks. So I could not write about things like technical difficulty.

Configurations of my Laptop

2nd generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2630QM (2.9 GHz, 8MB L3 Cache)
1GB GDDR5 Radeon(TM) HD 6850M Graphics
6GB 1333MHz DDR3 System Memory
750GB 7200 rpm Hard Drive
17.3" diagonal Full HD HP Ultra BrightView Infinity LED Display (1920x1080)
8X DVD+/-R/RW with Double Layer Support
Performance

This laptop come with the intel's second generation processor which makes it extremely fast. My laptop came with the genuine windows home version 64 bit. I opened a 1080p video in YouTube and a blue ray quality movie from the hard disk and it handled all that like water!! The video seemed flawless.Games also run quite good. The games like call of duty Modern Warfare 3 can be played on full resolution that is full HD 1080p and it takes only about 14 seconds load the game.
Design

This laptop comes with aluminum made edges and magnesium alloy chassis which makes this laptop very unique. The laptop comes with black lids and a silver palm-rest. I am pretty happy with the overall design. The big disappintment is that this laptop is quite thick and heavy and has a thickness if 1.5 inch at inch at the thickest point and weights about 7.5 pound. The palm rest is roughly textured which keeps the hand sticking to the palm rest and it is very useful while typing.
Keyboard

Like the Mac-book pro the buttons of the keyboard has spaces between them which makes typing both fast and comfortable and the keyboard is also very spacious. The keyboard also has a backlit chiclet which means that the letters of the keyboard is lit by a light under the keyboard. What I like most about this keyboard is that the backlit of the keyboard is turned on automatically in low light conditions. However it can also be done manually by pressing the F5 key.
Touch pad

The touch pad is a large one. I did not find the touch pad very comfortable cause it has some problems. For example when my finger slipped over the left mouse button line, it would cause the cursor to jump to another part of the screen, and at times I noticed the mouse just not moving when I moved my finger across the touch pad. This touch pad supports multi touch gestures like pinch to zoom and scrolling.
Speaker

This laptop probably has the best speakers found on a laptop. This is probably the only laptop that I have used includes a sub-woofer. The bass and sound quality is quite good as a Laptop.
display

The screen of this laptop supports up to 1920x1080 resolution . The screen is capable of displaying 3D pictures and I was very satisfied with the 3D video quality but I could not play 3D game cause the people from HP never told anything about the supported 3D games or weather it can actually support 3D games or not. The 3D glasses are included in the price. The image also looks very crisp and detailed in 2D mode. The viewing angles are also quite good (about 50 degrees from the center). One problem I had to face is that the screen is glossy so it reflects strongly which makes it hard to use under sunlight.
Battery life

My laptop came with a six cell battery. The battery life is only about 1.5 hours when watching blue ray movies which is not even enough to finish a full length movie and when playing games this laptop runs only about an hour. So the battery life is kind of disappointing but if you are willing to pay extra $30 they will give you a 9 cell battery which will have a battery life of about 2.5 hours
Connectivity

Other than the VGA ports this Laptop includes HDMI ports and display ports and 4 USB 3.0 ports. Almost all the interfaces are found on the left side including the HDMI port, VGA ports, the display port, the USB/eSATA combo socket, 2 USB 3.0 ports, the combo socket for headphone out/microphone in jack, On the right side two more USB ports and a 5 in 1 card reader are placed. This laptop also includes bluetooth 3.0 connectivity
