Advantages: Cost and very Reliable.
Disadvantages: on board graphics card replace it with a 3dfx card

Now Hewlett Packard have a process known as, HP Fast Format, meaning that to whip a CD can take only 45 seconds, and believe me I have times this against other manufactures, which could take around 20 minutes to complete! Hewlett Packard has done a great job, and I really get on well with this drive. It’s easy simple and quick use, and not very expensive to. To get start you are even supplied with 2 disks, 1 CD-RW and 1 CD-R. The HP Website also offers an unbeatble support site, this really makes the difference between diffrent makes of drives. Constantly there are free driver and software updates to improve your writers ability. Unfortunately with the CD-R technology, many problems have arisen, software piracy means that home users are creating working copies of expensive software... Read review
