Advantages Advantages Lightweight and extremely easy to use

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None for me

Before I begin my review I have to admit that I am not the most technical minded of people, but as I have a husband who is an expert with anything that is electrical I have learned quite a lot over the years and am still learning. Prior to meeting him I had no option than to rely on other people, which isn’t like me at all, particularly as I prefer to do things myself. We now live in a society where we seem to use computers for almost everything although I’ve yet to find one that will clean the oven or carry out the ironing! If you said to me five years ago that I would be shopping or banking ... more

Advantages Advantages windows 7, great for everyday computing

Disadvantages Disadvantages poor webcam and speakers

When it came to buying a laptop I spent quite a long time looking around and comparing specs. I was looking for a laptop for general everyday use which would surf the web, run office applications and hold a decent amount of songs and photos in the hard drive. It also needed to be wireless to connect to the BT home hub from different parts of the house. The laptop which I chose was the HP G56 106 which cost £349 from John Lewis in December 2010; I chose to shop there because they offer a two year guarantee as standard on laptops as opposed to having to buy the second years warranty from other ... more

P G56-106SA Introduction # Basically at the start of the year (2011) i broke my laptop after having it for two years, the screen smashed and i needed a new one quick for my work. I looked around on websites for one which had quite a nice amount of memory and looked stylish, just a couple of things which i look for in a laptop. I found this laptop which i really liked the look of and had a good memory so that was it, i went out to buy it. I bought this laptop from PCWorld because from what i could see, it was the cheapest place to get it, and i know that you can get a good customer service from ... more

Advantages Advantages Look, memory and speed.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None really.

Now, the main things I look for when buying a new computer is: 1: price and 2: memory. This laptop really was the best of both costing £399 in PC world with a hard drive of 500GB. This is more than enough space for my music and school work. I have only recently bought this computer, last week infact and it really is worth every penny I paid. HP have always been a reliable source for printer, but I have never considered them a good laptop brand, that is before I bought one. *-*-*General info about the laptop-*-*-* The laptop is black with lsome light up buttons to help with the function of the ... more

The HP G56 is a fantastic looking laptop with excellent features. The speed is very fast, it looks great and is excellent value for money. The laptop, at £299 is a great buy considering how easy it is to use and how well it functions. First of all the speed of the laptop is very good. The laptop boots in around 2 minutes and is ready to function straight away. The laptop comes fitted with Windows 7 which is easy to operate, functions quickly and doesn't give you any problems.
