Easy access ahoy!!

Advantages: Good quality, useful extra hot keys
Disadvantages: none really!

This Hewlett Packard keyboard is supplied as standard with new HP desktop computers. I purchased my computer about 3 months ago and this keyboard was supplied as part of the package. I have had a bit of time now to use it and so am now able to give my impression of what I think of the keyboard! As the keyboard comes supplied with the PC, I cannot give you an exact price. However, looking at the spec and design of the keyboard, I reckon that you would probably pay around £20 for a unit of this type. Specs This keyboard has 102 keys as standard, and on top of this there are an additional 8 user definable function keys. These hot keys can allow you to perform certain functions, which I will come to later. The layout of the keyboard is as follows. Going from the top of the keyboard down then, first you have the 8 ?hot keys ...

Review of HP Easy Access Keyboard - keyboard

Better than a Bontempi organ - the HP Keyboard

Advantages: Aesthetically pleasing, nice key response, simple and effective
Disadvantages: PS2 connection, wired, shiny keys

this device are automatically installed in Windows and there is no requirement for any further configuration in order to get it working. Since the advent of Windows 95(!), two additional keys are included; the Windows key which has the same effect as clicking the Start button (among many other things when used in conjunction with other keys) and the "right-click" button which has the same effect as clicking the right mouse button. ~~~Observations ~~~ This keyboard from HP is very easy to use and is perfectly adequate for every text-entry situation. The keys have a good range of travel and a satisfying click to help your brain register that the key has been depressed successfully. I am only a two finger typist, but this keyboard is more than adequate at capturing my 45+ words per minute and I find it to be perfectly comfortable ...

Review of HP 2004 Standard Keyboard - keyboard

Wheres the mouse traps?...oh this is a keyboard

Advantages: Cheap, stylish, match the evo and 5500 screen
Disadvantages: Nothing that i've noticed

So I'm back in the library after my internet died, my laptops lucky it has a warranty and I'm feeling depressed (awww pity the poor sad boy). So I thought I'd what I enjoy, then i realised ther was a different keyboard in front of me, an "Easy access" apparently, that come in different colours (white, black and silver). The one I sat down in front of was silver, with brown muddy finger print marks, but I guess you need to pay extra for them (I'm not sure but it looks kinda like chocolate). So whats the keyboard got? Well you have your normal QWERTY layout, with numeric kayes along the top, a numberpad to the right hand side (this one is "stuck in place" which is less confusing for simpletons like my self). The top left has the now permanently engraved in my brain COMPAQ logo, and along the top centre are quick keys/short cut keys ...
