I'm not usually a big fan of HP products but this one is great. Not the prettiest thing on the block but a great performed. If it was an office worker, this would be the guy or girl who sits quietly in the corner and gets on with the work without complaining or making a show. Nice product..

I bought this laser printer about 2 years ago. After all that time, I still can't fault it. It hasn't created a problem, drivers have always been available (except when I first started running Vista X64) and up to now, have not needed a replacement toner. I checked out that you can get replacement toners for this machine for around £45 so bearing in mind the current one has lasted 2 years; that isn't a big worry.
I think it cost me about £120 when I bought it but it has been a workhorse used for the daily letters and black and white printing. Unlike any other printer I have owned, it has not had one problem loading paper nor has it eaten paper going through it.
Its easy to load, you simply pull open the drawer and put a load in, and the alternative paper feeds (for envelopes etc) works well.
It can be connected via USB or parallel port and when using windows XP or Vista, it gets picked up and recognised immediately.
It prints exceptionally well with strong blacks and has done a good job of printing black and white photographs and drawing for publications.
