First things first: the HP LaserJet 4000 is one of the most reliable laser printers I have ever worked with. It is built solidly with a sizable drawer for paper. The quality of printouts is very good, even on economy paper. It makes minimal noise, is built compactly to save space and prints at a reasonable speed.
Installing the printer might lead to difficulties, as the manual is not very descriptive. I have found the HP LaserJet helpdesk an excellent source of support, which they deliver for free in most European countries to LaserJet users. Once the machine is connected, however, you can rely on it to work reliably. I have never experienced problems with these machines after the initial installation.
As the LaserJet 4000 is no longer produced by HP, most available products will be sold second-hand. Note, however, that this printer is extremely trustworthy and getting it cheap and used may be an excellent deal if you are planning to use it regulary.
I reccomend this product for small and medium-sized businesses, and even for private users who find the printer advertised as a cheap second-hand. You can't go wrong with this one.
