The HP LaserJet 4000n is the 'networked' version of the HP LaserJet 4000, meaning it has an extra card installed to connect to local area networks. Connecting the printer is relatively easy if you already have a home / business network, you just connect it to an unused hub-port. The standard 4000n NIC supports both DHCP and static IP.
The HP LaserJet 4000n is an extremely reliable printer, once installed it will work forever and at low operating cost. Installation is not for the weak, as this model is known to cause trouble when trying to connect to your local hub. However, HP has an excellent helpdesk that provides free and excellent support to LaserJet users in most European countries.
As the LaserJet 4000 is no longer produced by HP, most available products will be sold second-hand. Note, however, that this printer is extremely trustworthy and getting it cheap and used may be an excellent deal if you are planning to use it regulary.
I reccomend this product *strongly* for home users and small businesses who have an LAN network and print regularly. You can't go wrong with the HP LaserJet 400n!
