Advantages: Quick and quiet Disadvantages: Expensive
I’ve been using the HP LaserJet 1200 mono (not colour) printer at work for a while now, so I thought I would attempt to write a review on it and tell you all what a great reliable little model this actually is, although a little expensive but I’ll get to that later.
From memory it was, as most printers are these days fairly easy to set up, even someone that’s techno phobic could install this fairly easily within a few minutes (5 ... ...a user manual, USB cable, HP Software (includes interactive users manual, printing suggestions, address to purchase ink cartridges and support), also included was of course a black ink printer cartridge – which would normally set you back around £40, pricey I know but one cartridge does last you a good while or to make it easier around 2,500 pages.
For all it’s actually a personal printer, it does seem to weigh more than the average ...

Hp Laser Jet 1200
I am not much of a technical minded person but I do however know what Is good and what is bad for the things I need. This is a printer that sits on my desk at work and to be honest could do with a bit of an upgrade. It is though, perfect for everything that I need at work.
Because this printer is at work and prints a lot faster than my one at home I find myself printing most of my documents at the work place even those things ... ...because as I say this HP LaserJet 1200 prints a lot faster than my own home printer.
The LaserJet printer takes up rather a large amount of space on my tiny desk at work but because it is one of the most used things on the desk this is of course no trouble to me. I have had this particular printer for a few years and I think when we change premises, which is in the next few months, we will all be getting new equipment and I shall be sorry to see ...

... ...then top of the line hp laser jet 1200. That was 4 years and a child ago!
After bringing the printer home, and placing it on the computer desk, the first thing we noticed, even though it isn't oversized or anything, the tray stuck out from the computer desk. It was on a bottom shelf as well, because the top of the desk only held the computer monitor. It is an economy sized desk because we don't have much room in the lounge where the computer lives. ...

Advantages: Manages heavy workload, looks good Disadvantages: None to note
...up and along came the HP LaserJet 1200 from the back office. Carefully manoeuvred into position by the worker of the back office, the HP LaserJet, never designed to be a workgroup printer, was placed in the firing line. For a full week the agony of frontline printer action was levelled at it and hey ... it did pretty well. Apart from a couple of jams when it neared the end of its 260 page paper tray, the printer survived the week before hurrying ... ...guess its now doing the printer equivalent of lighting an occasional cigar, throwing its feet on the desk and boring the pants off the other peripherals with tales of daring and stamina.)
Seriously though – this is a personal printer and therefore not intended for vast outputs and yet for a short spell it performed just fine. That for me is enough to recommend this printer for small to medium enterprises. The long term printing has been reliable ...

...my little(rather large) friend the HP Laserjet 1200 series printer.
We have had this model at work now for a couple of years and I think it set the practice back around £300, but for a printer of this high quality I am sure they can afford it.
It is a rather large and bulky piece of office equipment and weights a ton! However, it is the quickest and quietest printer I think we have in the whole office building.
