I have been using this Laserjet Printer since a while. This was my first laserjet printer that replaced my old Dotmatrix printer. It has been a dramatic shift in a way i used to do printing of my documents earlier and now. The speed and ease of printing with this printer is enormous. The Cost of printing also comes out to be reasonably less looking at the amount of printing is done at my home, as my husband is used to take prints of his work at home as well.
* The printer comes with a setup CD that contains Driver for this Series of HP printers. There are few other applications as well which are not mush of interest of many people. The printer is high speed USB printer. The setting up of this printer very easy. Its just a plug and play device just plug the USB cable to USB port and power on the printer, the computer finds the device. if the operating system has the driver than no need to put in the disk other wise put an this disk and give the path of the driver installation to the disk drive and computer will itself find the driver. Once installed the printer is ready for prints.
* Using this printer you not need to be an expert in computing. Any one can take prints. its that simple. Just put the papers in the paper tray and give the print command, that is it. The maximum paper size it support is A4 size. The normal speed of printing is 14PPM which is good enough. The Print quality is also good enough for office documents printing. Being a non coloured printer you cannot think of taking the prints of your pictures. So this one is an office document printer. You can use projector slides as well for printing you presentations.
* The price of the printer is very reasonable and dose not burden your pocket at all. At this price a laserjet printer of this quality is good for any budget. The size of the printer is also very compact and dose not need very big space at office or home.
Conclusion
= This is a good budget printer which is simple and easy to use. Not feature rich just a Document printing. At last it is just Good value for your hard earned money.

...husband has been using the HP Laserjet P1005 at work for the past few months. His [much more expensive] laserjet broke down and he was quite put out to receive this in return!
Amazon charges £69.75 for this product [with free delivery within the UK]. At this price you know that the printer is not going to be top of the range, however, it's not total rubbish by any means. It prints at speeds of up to 14ppm [which is no good for high volume printing ... ...1200-dpi.
It has a 133 MHz processor and 2 MB of memory. One advantage of this printer is that it is fairly small in comparison to many others on the market [which saves on valuable deskspace - more room for coffee cups!]. It is also quite quiet [my husband's last printer sounded like an aircraft taking off whenever it was turned on].
It comes with a 150 sheet input tray, which I would consider adequate for most home use.

The HP Laserjet P1005 printer is very good on ink. and the quality is very good . i recommend HP Laser jet P1005 Laser jet printer. the paper feed feeds fine with no problems. The laserjet P1005 prints very quick and is very easy to retrieve the printout paper. Th unit is very easy to set-up and working in no time at all. Be carefully when putting in the ink drum inside theHP Laserjet P1005printer.this printer is very cheap but does the job and prints out high quality laser documents.
