Advantages: Print Quality Disadvantages: Paper Handling
...Although the 1100 has all the usual HP features and print quality, it really falls down on it's paper handling capabilities. Having purchased a dozen or so of these printers we found within a very short space of time that the printer was feeding several pages at once and consequently jamming. We tried all the usual methods to stop this such as changing the paper supplier and ensuring the paper was separated before loading. After having spoken to HP they sent out a small rubber coated part which made no difference whatsoever. As this fault occurs on all our 1100's I assume HP know of this fault but are ignoring it....

...This is a printer that we introduced to our new offices not too long ago, I find that the printer as a whole is very good, and great value for money, though I do find that installing the printer can be a tiresome task due the amount of useless software that HP make you install with all their new printers. A good feature of this printer as apposed to the older HP desktop laser printers is that it has more error status lights on it which makes it far easier for a tech like me to diagnose any problems (though I haven't has one beak on me yet).
In all I think this is a very good choice for a small office environment...

...I took delivery of a Hewlett PackardLaserJet 4050T this week to replace a very hard worked LaserJet 4000TN which we have had 18 months and is now about ready to collapse.
The New Laserjet 4050T uses the same toner cartridges as the 4000, and accepts the old JetDirect 10/100 network card. (Enabling the unit to just have the card installed and it runs even using the old 4000 series driver.)
The unit also provides wireless printing access for mobile users; enhanced document management like private printing; easy internet printing for general office users, as well as solutions for barcode, MICR and virtually any paper handling and finishing needs. The HPJetSend enabled FIR receiver eliminates the search for cables and drivers. 1200dpi at full engine speed. 16ppm print speed. HP WebJet Admin for remote management help reduce power...

This is another piece of kit from work that weve been using now for about 8 months. The poor thing has been dumped in the computer suite as a workhorse for the hoards of print happy kids who pass through it all day. Alas, it has failed the task - through more
