.... Above the mouse controls is the main keyboard… reminds me of a dell computer key board as the keys are purely black with white detail for each of the letters etc. Above that is 6 silver buttons. The main power on switch is located in the middle either side to the right is a volume button and to the left a button which links to Compaq web page, one to open outlook express and another to lead to a search engine… that’s what they did when I pressed them!
The main power cord is attached well to the back of the laptop. It connects to a transformer that then leads to the mains socket all in all there are two connecting wires for this lap top and one for connecting to the internet. However if you are like me you may need another one to actually connect to the phone socket.

...My old laptop that I use for work, a Compaq Armada M700 died recently, and, as I was doing so much work away, I needed something that was going to give me flexibility and reliability. So this is a review of what I got to replace it.
** What is it? **
This laptop is an HP Compaq nc8000, that confused me a little, as my old laptop was made by Compaq!!
** What features does it have? **
Without turning it on!
Looking at the front of this laptop, you see directly in the centre a silver catch. Push this to open it. You then see that the lid/monitor is locked by two chrome catches.
To the left and right are the “on board” speakers. To the right hand side is a button to mute the speaker, further to the right is a double sided button, which is used to raise and lower the volume.
