The little pink number

Disadvantages small screen
Last Christmas I was really struggling for an idea of what to get for my wife at Christmas, and so in the end I buckled, and ended up asking her what she would like.....Big Mistake!!
Instead of a watch, or some perfume, or a new coat, she came straight out with 'A Laptop please'!This was a little out of the normal price range that I am comfortable with for a Christmas present, but I realised that it was something that we could do with, as we just had 1 laptop at the time, which we constantly argued about, and it frustrated my wife that I was always 'hogging OUR Laptop' (usually reading / writing reviews!).
A few days later after doing a bit of research on line, I drove over to our local Comet Store on Festival Park Stoke-On-Trent, and had a closer look at the HP mini 110-1150SA, which had caught my eye, mainly due the bright pink colouring!
**** The HP Mini 110 1150SA ****
As mentioned above the HP Mini is a bright pink chic colour, with a kind of silvery swirling patter pattern embossed onto the outer cover. Inside the laptop, the 10.1 inch screen is surrounded by a black plastic border, and the keyboard is coloured in pink, with black lettering / numbering. The keys are surprisingly large for the overall size of the notebook, and they have a nice springiness feel to them when pressed.
It is quite a sturdy little number, and feels quite a bit heavier than expected based on its tiny size. It weighs in at 1.17 kg, and has the following dimensions:
This combination of weight and dimensions lends itself to a nice compact unit, which is very easy to travel with.
When closed the lid does not have a lock facility, but it sits closed very well, due to the stiffness of the lid. There are 2 little silver switches complete with bright white LED's at the front of the notebook, one to turn the power on and off, and the other to enable to wireless / blue tooth feature. The 6 cell Lithium Ion battery sits underneath the notebook at the rear of the unit, and acts as a prop, lifting the rear end of the notebook into the air, and allowing plenty of cool air to enter into the unit. It is easily released using the two sliding buttons at either end, and has a very good battery life.
Complete with an Intel Atom N270 / 1.6 GHz processor and a 1 GB ram, and coming with the basic Windows 7 starter pack, and an integrated camera, this little notebook suits our needs down the ground.Connectivity wise, there are 3 high speed USB points, 2 situated on the right hand side, and one on the left, and Ethernet 10 Base - T port, a audio headphone / microphone point, and a display / video VGA 15 pin port, along with a memory expansion card slot.
Overall this is a great little notebook for general simplistic use, and is nicely designed for people who Love Pink! Thanks for reading.
