Good connectivity with an easy to follow HP set up wizard, higher than average print quality with good results when printing hi-definition photographs from file, especially on to photo paper. It takes plain paper, it has the facility to add a duplex module (not included) the fax is easy to set up and it has separate cartridges for black and colour inks - always a bonus. It doesn’t have a paper feeder or a card reader and lacks some of the more advanced HP features and software, but for an entry level all-in-one it represents excellent functionality and value for money.

...a simple all-in-one printer, the HP Officejet 4315 basically does what is advertised. I've used this printer for over 6 months now and have yet to report a defect. I never previously owned a fax machine, and having this function on the printer has been fairly useful. The print quality is sufficient and you can pick up cartridges for as cheap as £10 for colour and £7 for black ink. The all-in-one does have a few problems, however. If you require speedy ... ...this inkjet can take its time. I have also had to revert to using my flatbed scanner, as this all-in-one only allows scanning of individual pages. The photocopy function on this machine can be quite slow, which further detracts from its appeal. In terms of installing the printer I did not have any problems, and I have not experienced any problems with its software since. Being someone who isnt very computer literate I would take this as a plus! Overall, ...
