The HP OfficeJet ProK5400 is a low cost, colour, inkjet, printer. It is aimed at small businesses and is a pretty basic printer. If you need to scan or copy then this is not for you but it will produce low cost prints. I used this printer when i printed some ICT coursework from my teachers office. The text sheets came out well and with reasonable speed. Next was a powerpoint presentation in handout form. This was a colur print. It came out in good quality and took a second or two longer than the text sheet. I was happy with both sheets so far. Finally, i had a photo to print. (This wasn't for work but it was a cool Iron Maiden photo that i wanted to stick on my wall) The photo took longer again to print and when it finally came out, the quality had let it down. Slightly smudged and generally tacky. I was disapointed that i had used this printer and not another. However, the actual work did come out well so i can't complain. There is a single paper tray that sticks out from the front of the printer. This has the 250 sheet input tray and the output tray in it. The output tray has an adjustable arm, so that if you pull it out, you can prevent long prints falling to the ground. The K5400dn is the upgrade of the K5400 and the downgraded version of the K5400dtn. The benefits of th K5400dn is that you can have ouble sided printing and built-in networking.

Summary
This is a good printer if you are looking for something cheap. Although it is made for small to medium businesses, it would be a useful home printer. However, if you are looking to print photos then this is not the printer for you. The quality just isn't good enough. Not quite. I would reccomend this to anyone who prints a lot as you can get the high capacity ink tanks and cheap printing.
You can buy it from amazon for £124 both from amazon and the "Used and new" section. If you but it from amazon then there is an optional 3 year electrical appliance cover for £27.99
