This was a good printer while it lasted, it gave good quality printing, scanning, copying.Running costs were higher than most but this is due to the cartridges having their own printheads built in.
I wrote a review saying good things about this printer at first, I have since deleted it and here is the reason why.
I have had this printer 2 weeks, the printhead is stalled message keeps appearing, it will not print. If you read the article on http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/forums/inkjet/13637

The impression that i got about HP printers is that they are disposable, a bit like a razor only a razor will probably last longer. I would advise anyone to avoid buying an HP printer they are utter trash. This is not just a bad one if you look on the site I mention in the review there is a lot of other people who have the same problem.
This isnt really a review it is more an insight to what HP printers are, I have provided the above site so you can see for yourselves all the complaints about them, this review is based on my own experience as well as the other peoples opinions on the above mentioned site as this is what you sometimes need to do to get the broader picture on a product.
Advantages: Super value and excellent quality prints Disadvantages: Over-fast at shooting prints out; flimsy scanner cover
...don't stand up to this HP machine. This is an absolute joy to use. One thing I especially like is the easy access to the paper bay. Printing on different sizes of paper is incredibly straightforward to achieve because there's a lot of room to get right in and get your card or paper sitting flush before you start. I've printed on all kinds of sizes, right down to 3x5 index cards, and it works really well. In the past I've had some nasty paper jams ... ...this in the past with HP machines) is that the bottom margin maximum tends to be set at an overgenerous value, somewhere around 2cm. With other brands I've been able to print well beyond this, and I've not been able to change it with this machine.
For scanning, you couldn't get much simpler than this. It's fast (but not the fastest I've used) for a multi-purpose machine, and the software provided is extremely easy to use. The best thing about this ...

Advantages: 3 in1(yiou can print, copy, scan), beautifull colours, cheap, works fast Disadvantages: expensive injekt.
I like this printer because I can Print, scan and copy with one device! you don't need a big table to stow printer, scaner and dublicator. you can buy one device, which is very cheap. this device works fast, you don't need to wait more time to get a beautifull photo! moreover this printer have one disadvantage: this printer colour injekts are very expensive and if you use this printer frequently you need to buy more colour injekts. I think that this ...

Advantages: all in one, work fast Disadvantages: expensive inject
HP PSC 1315 is my second printer. It already works for me almost two years. And I haven't any problems with it.
I am a student and I live with my friends. We are four. And we all use this printer. So, I can't say that it is used rarely!
It is small and cheap devise. However the black or color injects is not quite cheap. But I fill up it by myself. Scanning and copying work well. Also, it is fast devise. Just one little disadvantage - there is no ...

Advantages: Relatively quick B&W printing Disadvantages: Terrible software interface, takes forever to print colour pictures embedded in a Word document
...Considering all these factors, the HP PSC1315 is indeed a big step forwards from the HP 505C or the Epson Stylus C40UX.
It came easy enough to assemble, although the print cartridges were a bit of a pain to slot in at first. Software installation took an eternity and is not the most user friendly piece of software to use in the world. Scanning and printing require minimal use of the HP software but I would have to read the manual one day to find ... ...for very long I suspect, HP doesn't sell these units so cheap for nothing.
The reality is, is that most people don't need the high-end features brough together by state-of-the-art laser printers or digital scanners. This device is cheap and usable for the average man on the street. If you don't know computers (and love to read manuals), this is the one for you. ...

Advantages: All-in-one, reliable, easy to use Disadvantages: Bigger than some other printers
This clever all-in-one device prints, copies and scans, so it saves you buying three seperate machines, and saves loads of space too. The machine is rectangular in shape, and is blue and silver in colour. It looks cool and although it is quite big, it isnt a heavy printer, so its easy to move around. The scanner part of the all-in-one is on the top, and has a lid like a normal scanner. You just put the paper in and put the lid back down, then press ... ...to open any programs to scan documents - the all-in-one does this for you when you press the scan button. The printer function prints onto paper which is size A4 or smaller, and has the usual adjuster for paper size on it. The door at the front pops out when you want to print, and then you can pull out the paper collecting tray from this. The print quality is very good, and the speed of printing is average. Also, at the front of the printer there ...

CARTRIDGE COSTS
The cartridge price depends on where you purchase them from, but range from £18.00 to about £25.00. As I have already mentioned, you will get approximately 500 pages from the cartridge, which if you take the middle of the road price, works out at about 4.5 pence per page. I have found that buying the cartridges online actually works out ...

. From then on, my TRUST in Hewlett Packard was fully established. As months passed through 2004, 2005, 2006, I settled in the routine of traditionally, upgrading from one HPprinter to another of a greater, modernised standard to enjoy the benefits of HP technology with respect to everyday printing. So far, in 2007, the year of MODERN DAY electronics, I currently own a 'HP Deskjet F380' that is not just a simple printer. It is actually an ALL-IN-ONE hardware that is designed to combine the functions of (1) printer, (2) scanner and (3) a copier! Okay, it's time to make it 'crystal clear' with respect to how I became the KEEPER of the wonderful 'HP Deskjet F380' machine:
