This is all-in-one machine (printer, fax, copier and scanner). One of the possible troubles with such machines is that if you have it burned or broken you lose 4 machines immediately at once. But most of the time you are surely safe against that since you will have a warranty and from my experience I know that machines like that can break when you allow or cause it to break. So, it is quite comfortable to have a machine like that. First intending ... ...one of the well-known computer selling centers. At that time I had no idea of all-in-one machines except that I heard about them. It was my luck I came across it. I compared the price of this machine (4-in-one) with sum total price of the scanner and printer and I pleasantly found I was saving good money. (Of course this cannot prove anything and prices vary from store to store, from brand to brand, so it all depends).

But most of the time you are surely safe against that since you will have a warranty and from my experience I know that machines like that can break when you allow or cause it to break. So, it is quite comfortable to have a machine like that. First intending to buy a scanner and printer I headed straight to one of the well-known computer selling centers.
Talking about sizes, I may say: put all those 4 separate machines next to this machine. Of course, may be someone would like it otherwise, but to me that comparison seemed to be convincing in terms of saving space.
The design is up-to-date and color design (mine is blue with silver cover) is looking smooth and mostly fits into the color design of most of the premises, unless you have your house/office painted and decorated in radical colors (I mean dark red etc, though there may be someone who’d like it too, why not?!).
When using its PRINTER. It is an inkjet printer, so one should not expect from it the laser printer-like speed. Though if you’re printing in grayscale and have chosen in the printer properties the “Fastdraft” option then it’s quite fast. It will print slower and slower both in grayscale and color mode when you every time select higher and higher quality of printing, as Fastdraft mode is fast printing, Everyday is a bit slower, Normal is even slower and Best is the slowest mode. The paper is fed from the front, but unfortunately is out also from the front. This is inconvenient due to the fact that sometimes the paper is falling down the floor. Also, it may not print in case you improperly placed the paper in the feeding lot, I mean didn’t fix it with a side bar. Color printing is amazing, though also a bit slower. Its software allows choosing various options of printing such as posters, envelopes, A4, US letter etc.
When using its COPIER. Well, nothing is really extraordinary about its copying mode. But it allows color copying, which in fact is outstanding. I have a queue of friends willing to make a color copy of their photo, road map and things like that, though for normal documents this option is not critically important. Be aware, the machine remembers the amount of copies chosen last time. So, next time you may press copy black or copy color (for default it means 1 copy only) but it will make as many copies as was chosen last time. So clear it with “cancel” button before you press ‘copy’ button.
When using its SCANNER. It scans quickly and with high quality. During loading and unloading paper be careful and don’t leave fingerprints on the scanner glass. But normally it no way affects the scanning process, unless it was done on purpose. And, for scanning, half of the success is the software you use.
When using its FAX. Using it as a fax might be troublesome sometimes. First trouble could be properly connecting it. If your line has an answering machine, it may cause a conflict for faxing option of the machine. Functionally, sending a fax from that machine is close to copying. But still a little bit boring. I’ll try to explain why. In normal “fax-only” machines, you can feed up to circa 10-15 pages (also may vary from machine to machine) and it all is sent at once, and in case of failure you would just press the appropriate button. But here, one should load and scan each page separately, and sometimes if you fail the fax will automatically redial – first after 60 seconds, then after 5 minutes (hopefully it goes through, if not, you have to press “cancel” and start all procedure again. There might be some other way of re-sending it, but I don’t know). Receiving a fax in the Automatic mode is easy. You just should specify a number of rings after which the machine should start connecting. But receiving a fax manually could be troublesome if your machine is connected improperly to the line, since it has no its phone handset (you should get it and connect at the back panel). It took me and my friend much time and efforts to fix it and make the “Manual fax receiving” work. We even called to BT operator or some other friend of mine (could be our own fault, I’m not sure). Besides, its dialing buttons are too small, but I think if you manage it to work with a separate phone-handset then it’s a piece of cake.
Eventually, I enjoyed it and still enjoying. Only I wish its faxing option to be lightened and redesigned.
Advantages: Good ergonomic design, variety of functions Disadvantages: Always had technical problems
...all problems and it hasn't). HP tech support on the web-chat was useless and suggested to take the machine to their nearest workshop, which I have not done due to scarce time. I intended to use the PSC 2210 as a home office fax with the functions of printer and high resolution scanner. I could never use the product as intended and now consider throwing away this rubbish and buying something else.
However, I have to say that colour print quality ...

Advantages: Everything is in one place Disadvantages: big and bulky, cartridges expensive
I wanted to upgrade my printer for one that could print photos. When I saw the 3 in 1 (minus fax) I thought great!!!!!!!!!!! I can even put the memory cards in from my camcorder and digi cam.
Because the product was out of stock, I decided to pay that little bit more for this product, save me running to mum every time I needed to fax someone.
Buying Hewlett Packard you think quality. For quality, you have to think pricely. At the time of me buying ... ...competitors brought their version out alot cheaper.
There are so many advantages of owning this product, like only one item, a few less wall sockets to find, the quality of the photos that are printed, the copy speed, the name Hewlett Packard itself.
But then there are the disadvantages, the cost of new cartridges, finding a large enough work space to put it on, it doesn't take digital camera memory cards.
Despite the cons, I would still recommend ...

Advantages: Useful Functions, Quick Printing Disadvantages: A bit Bulky, Can be unreliable
The HP PSC 2210 all-in-one is an good printer and represents good value-for-money in this new sector of 'all-in-ones'.
It offers you the main things printer, scanner, copier and fax that you have in your office but in your own home. It also offers a space for a digital camera's memory card (compliant with almost all models) which allows you to immediately print off your photos without any need to even have the pc on!
Once I purchased this printer ... ...modern pc appliances there were only 2 leads that needed to be connected before it could be up and running. There is a basic console on the printer with a very useful small LCD screen and you simply touch a button to tell it which of the 4 options (mentioned above) you would like to pursue and off it goes! You can set the photocopying and printing speeds to whichever you want and surprisingly the fastest printing speed has a reasonable quality considering ...

Advantages: almost silent when printing photo quality even on normal printing Disadvantages: You have to replace all colours rather than individual ones.
This machine is virtually silent when printing infact the only thing you hear is the paper feeding through. The paper feed is at the front and incased so the paper feeds correctly everytime. The photocopier is spot on with colour and image. Even on normal printing the photo quality is good. The printing is very fast. It looks smart and in my opinion is very good value for money. Haven't tried the scanner yet but I'm sure it will be fine. It is a ...

Advantages: Slow printing Disadvantages: Can be quite expensive
This is an all in one fax machine, printer, copier and scanner - very useful.
I have never had a multi functional machine before and now I have this machine things are so much easier and I have much more space! It measures in at 46.3cm by 37cm by 22cm, so its reasonably compact.
It does look abit complicated to use, and you might get it home and think "oh my god what have I got myself into?"..... but once you get the hang on it you will be fine. ... ...yourself having a good read of it. It is a good idea to read the manual before fiddling about with the buttons =)
The cons are that the printing seems abit slow BUT the outcome is good quality and its very quiet.
The machine scans at 1,200dpi by 2,400dpi, prints at 1,200dpi rising to 4,800dpi when you are using digitally enhanced photos and special photo paper. There we go, I hope this is useful to someone =) ...
