HP Palmtop PC 340 LX

Advantages: good processor speed, reasonably cheap,
Disadvantages: not enough memory, bulky, not very modern

...I know that the HP 620LX is a little old now, but I also know that it is one of the best palmtops that HP have made. They come with the expected Pocket Excel, word, internet explorer etc. but also with B-square fax and find, as well as a docking station to connect the computer to your PC. These are helpful tools if you are a buisnessman and are one the go, as it had 2 slots, one of which I know is is PCMCIA card slot, allowing modems to be connected and the internet achieved. I was not, however, happy with the amount of memory. I have only had it a coulpe of months and I'm already out. I am also not hapy with the software available for its SH3 processor. Sure, there are many free sites where you can get stuff from, but I've found that a lot of it doesn't work. The minor niggles aside, then, the computer runs a resonably modern version... Read review

...thought 1280×800 was a good resolution to use for a 15.4â?³ screen. My only complaint with the screen is that the glare is really bad when trying to use the unit outside. It gets so bed you might as well look at a mirror with a dark background This unit uses AMD rather than Intel meaning that it generates more heat. the performance of this notebook is quite good. It actually opens many apps much faster than my desktop PC, which is using an Intel Pentium dual core. So, there are no complaints about speed, but, it does generate a lot of heat heat. The HP Pavilion DV6 is a really nice, solid laptop and you really can?t go wrong with it. The price makes it very affordable. The unit has a nice, sleek design and good all-around performance. It also offers a solid balance of features which really makes this laptop usable as a desktop... Read review

...I got the HP pavilion dv6 at the end of the school year and so far I love it. It is the best computer I have ever used. I used to be a Dell purchaser but lately their computers haven't had what I wanted. But this HP is the nicest one so far, with a reasonable price tag. Their is a number pad right next to the qwerty keyboard and is very useful for computing numbers into the computer. This computer has a big screen with an HP webcam that takes pictures with a variety of different filters, frames, and distortions. I would definately recomend this for your next computer. This is one of the finest computers for the price it is listed at. This computer is also one of the easiest computers to use.... Read review
