Advantages: stylish, compact and slick Disadvantages: poor touch pad & sub par graphics
...a much lower price. The HP imprint finish looks excellent, and the quickplay system is excellent, however my favourite feature, corny as it may be is the concealled remote control, which slots above the multimedia card reader at the side of the laptop.
the processor at 1.6 ghz is not the most powerful however being that is a 64 bit duo processor it allows you to multi task to great effect.
The laptop is very light at around 2.4 kg, ... ...is the touch pad, as hp have made the touch pad and left and right click buttons flush, you occasionally touch the mouse pad when trying to click, the other small thing is the dvd drive, it is set into the side with the open button being set back into the drive, this makes it a little annoying opening the drive (which itself is excellent).

This laptop is possibly the most stylish on the market at the current moment, with specs that are on par with the more expensive intel version at a much lower price. The laptop is very light at around 2.4 kg, and is very thin, this makes it amazingly portable. The screen is very good, with the widescreen making the 14inch screen look much larger and the in built 1.3 megapixel camera and built in dual microphones makes this laptop jammed with features. There are a few bad points about the laptop, however these are miniscule, the first is the touch pad, as hp have made the touch pad and left and right click buttons flush, you occasionally touch the mouse pad when trying to click, the other small thing is the dvd drive, it is set into the side with the open button being set back into the drive, this makes it a little annoying opening the drive (which itself is excellent). After some more use i have found a few more point i wish to raise with this laptop. the standard battery is a 6 cell lithium battery, that althought apparantly is meant to provide up to 3 hours of battery life, seems to provide one and a half if you run the screen a minimum brightness. i have also found the integrated graphics to be very poor, especially for gaming, newer games run at a snails pace.
All in all, if you are looking for and excellent and amazingly stylish laptop, you cannot get any better for the price, however if you use you laptop for gaming predominantly then you may wish to spend a bit more and get a laptop with dedicated graphics. plus the imprint finish, althought beautiful requires regular cleaning.
Advantages: Good looking, easy to use. Disadvantages: Bit heavy, not robust, very poor aftercare, could use more memory
This is a good looking laptop but it gets grubby quickly it runs quite well. It is a bit on the heavy side and is therefore not so hot on the portability. My machine has not proved to be terribly robust as the DVD drive has failed after about 11 months - I did not make excessive use of it either. Unfortunately you should be aware that the aftercare is not so good. I was advised that in order to replace the DVD writer the hard drive would be formatted ... ...not prepared to have it formatted so I have been left to repair myself. This has reduced my value for money rating. Speed is average could use more memory though. I have reduced the rating as I feel the customer care is very poor and that is important to me ...
