The screen is 15.6 inches (a fraction larger than the standard 15.4 on most laptops) and has a glossy finish, there is little glare and ample brightness and contract in it.
This slightly larger screen has enable the laptop to be fitted with what is almost a full sized keyboard, complete a numeric keypad, the only exception being the cursor and function keys which are half height, in use the keyboard has a good solid feel to it. The track pad is average size but has a very glossy feel making it very easy to use.
The HP G60 has the standard connectivity ports, 2 x USB 2, an Ethernet port, a VGA output so it can be used with a normal monitor. Internet connectivity is good too because as well as a built in wireless card (which is the norm now) that can be enabled/ disabled via a button above the keyboard (it glows red when disabled and blue when enabled) it also has a built in dial up modem which is rarity. The other features are a web cam and microphone (so the computer can be used for video messaging) and a DVD recorder drive.
The case itself is matt black plastic apart form the lid which is a high gloss, this gives it a classy feel. The case is well built with a solid feel and very little flexing. The battery is not very large hence the battery life is only 2 hours but this does keep the weight down, which to me gives the right balance between weight and longevity.
Setting the machine up was easy, just power up via the large button above the keyboard and away to go, after the few minutes it takes to set up the standard windows elements (set the language, time zone, users etc) it is ready to use.
The laptop comes with all the full Microsoft Works suite as well as trial versions of Microsoft Office and Norton antivirus. The only downside as with most computers these days there is only a 'getting started' guide, all other documentation is accessed on line
All in all this is very solid package at a great price – definitely recommended !
Advantages: "HP" brand, 3GB RAM, geforce graphics card, very classy outlook. Disadvantages: Very poor processor, not suitable for extensive pc users.
HP is one of the few famous and renowned companies to provide high spec and quality laptops to consumers. It's the brand name HP, which consumers trust and believe in. Modern day technology is improving so rapidly that, what you bought today as the latest model with ability of utmost performance; it can be old within couple of days with another newer model with better spec, ironically funny isn't it? The processor of this laptop is AMD not Intel. ... ...you need to know that, HP already discontinued to produce almost lots of G60 series laptops. Though, every high street shops usually provides one year basic warranty still I would not go for this laptop considering my needs. But, you certainly will have your warranty with this product from the seller company. So, in any problem, you are covered by them. The 15.6" wide screen is really spacious and one of the main attraction of this laptop. So, this ...

Advantages: Dual-Core Processor, Webcam, Good memory, NVIDIA Dedicated graphics, DVD+R Lightscribe Drive Disadvantages: Vista ends up pretty slow, Battery life is satisfactory, Plastic is very dust prone, 120GB HDD
The HP G60. One good laptop! An ease to use and a brilliant display. It comes preloaded with Microsoft Windows Vista, which is OK. On the out-of-box experience, Vista is very quick and fast, but as the laptop starts filling up, obviously, it becomes slower. But the specifications are pretty impressive. With 2GB of RAM, and a AMD Athlon X2 Dual-Core processor rated at 3.99 GHz, and a 120GB hard drive (May diifer depending on type), it really does ... ...a dedicated 256MB NVIDIA 8200 graphics card, with shared memory of up to 882MB, it is very detailed and should and could easily play computer games and photo editing. It's design is sleek and sassy, with the touchpad built-in to brushed metal area under the full keyboard, with a little touchpad lock button, that locks ...
