...Very good lap top I did lots of searches for them didnt want to spend over £1k got this spot on budjet but didnt have to pay for 12 months Never had Hp before but would buy again, Battery life is very good for normal use, only using a media player will it use it up fast in under 2 hours, Comes with a nice remote control, the sreen is very high quality but not very good in sunlight very hard to see, Got lots of slots to plug in 4 usbs, exspansion port, plug a normal moniter in to it. reads flash cards of all types sd ms/pro mmc sm xd Mine came with light scribe direct disc labeling a laser burns the words pic on to the cover of the cd you have just coppyed. very easy to use, After buying mine my dad who has worked with comps most of his life was so impressed he bought one as well. ...I purchased a Pavilion DV2175 in December 2006 mainly for the purposes of online "virtual reality" gaming. The people at PC World said that it should be highly suitable for this, as it is marketed as an "entertainment laptop" suitable for all manner of graphically demanding applications. The computer itself is very good. Certainly the power of the unit is excellent, with the 2 GB memory and dual core processor making an easy meal of any gaming applications. However, after just 7 months the unit failed, and was returned to HP for servicing. After a couple of weeks HP returned it, with a note saying that the "main board" had been replaced. This, I assume, meant the motherboard. Very unusual for a motherboard to fail in such a short space of time. About 2 months after getting the laptop back, the cooling fan started to make a lot...
