Advantages: the look, 2gb ram, dual core, media designs, dvd rw, lightscribe Disadvantages: vista, no backwards support to XP, graphics chip, no boot disc but rather partitioned harddrive
...Ok so where do I start...The good. This laptop looks incredibly nice, it is one of the best looking laptops around I would say, the specs look really good for what you pay for it, 2gb RAM, 150gb hard drive, nVidia graphics (up to 559mb apprently), the display is amazing all in all a really nice looking laptop. The HP remote is really useful, i'm not entirely sure on the range of it but it works on IR usage so, so long as your are kinda close and pointing it at the right area it should do what you want it to. The remote also slides into the laptop next to the DVD drive so you won't lose it. The 5 in 1 card reader is also really useful, I use a variety of memory cards and they all work (i did have to get an adapter for my Memory stick duo however). The HP 'QuickPlay' software is much like Windows MediaCenter, but it works better...

...HPPavilionMediaCenter tx1250ea is a great laptop and is recommended for home use. The dimensions of this laptop are (WxDxH) 30.6cm x 22.4cm x 3.9cm. The weight of this laptop is 1.9kg and therefore is very light and easy for portable use. The built in devices include stereo speakers, wireless LAN aerial and a bluetooth aerial. The processor is AMD Turion64X2 mobile technology TL-56 ( Dual-Core ). The cache memory is 1mb - l2 cache. The RAM on this laptop is great as it has a whopping 1gb of it. The hard drive is an amazing 120gb which is perfect for storing almost anything! The display is 12.1" TFT active matrix 1280 x 800 (WXGA). The operating system is windows vista home premium. I would definately recommend this laptop to anyone who is looking for a fast reliable laptop!...

I got this laptop as a presant from my dad. It is run on microsoft Vista which in my eyes isn't the best software but it does what it's supposed to do. With wireless i could connect to the bt home hub. Its the best presant i have recived yet!
