Advantages: Very Upgradable, Cheaply Priced, Very Reliable. Disadvantages: The nVidia 7500LE is by no means an efficent card, No front case fan.
...I have found the Compaq SR2125UK a very powerful machine, I bought it as a secondary machine from PCWorld back in May 2007. When I first bought it I didn't realise it's full potential of what it's very upgradable motherboard can have. It's processor which comes shipped with it is an Intel PentiumD 915 which is around one of the first Dual Core processors around and is now starting to age a little, but this machine will happily take any Intel Core 2 Duo's. It'll also take up to 4GB of PC5300 DDR2 RAM and any PCIe x16 graphic card (with a PSU upgrade).
So onto my first experience with this Compaq, after it had been delivered in a massive 4x4x4 foot box I was at first a little dissapointed to find a Micro ATX tower (smaller size computer) as alot of these towers which I've had experiences with have had cooling problems. So now all...

Advantages: Great value Disadvantages: none come to mind
...HewlettPackard's latest offering is a budget PC that's geared towards budding digital photographers. Until recently, a budget PC may not have been able to run the software needed to edit digital pictures at a decent enough speed, but with the 3GHz Intel Pentium 4 contained processor in this Pavilion, that shouldn't be any problem.
This is helpfully complemented by 512Mb of memory and a generous 160Gb hard disk. The memory only takes up one of the four slots on the motherboard, so you can easily add some more at a later date.
The Pavilion comes with a 128Mb ATI Radeon X300SE graphics card. This might struggle with some of the latest 3D games at high detail levels, but it's very capable of dealing with anything else. I've used it with a few games and it handled them all brilliantly so until some new games requiring superior technlogy...

HP Computer Review ofHP Compaq Business Desktop dx2300 - PentiumD 925 3 GHzby

Advantages: decent pc, good RAM Disadvantages: none
...The HP dx2300 has a 1.8ghz processor and has two 512mb memory chips which makes the overall RAM over 1gb with a possible expansion up to 4gb. The hard drive is a decent size as well as it has 80gb of space. The operating system is windows xp which is ok but won't be able to keep up with vista soon! It also comes with a one year warranty. The HP dx2300 is an ideal business class desktop that is full-featured and value-priced. Featuring the power of an Intel processor and ample RAM, the dx2300 gives you all the strength you need to power through the toughest applications. A large hard drive gives you ample room to store all your important files. The micro tower also gives you excellent expandability in a compact form factor. As your business grows, the HP dx2300 will grow with you. The price ranges from £300 to £600....

This is an unbelievably fast and very good looking laptop. The finish on it is very nice and the shape of it looks good from any angle. Another great thing about this is the 320GB hard drive because you can store so much on there wothout having to worry... more
