HP Pavilion dv6

Advantages: Slick, lightweight design; good performance; built-in webcam;
Disadvantages: Low battery life, glossy display can be reflective

thought 1280×800 was a good resolution to use for a 15.4â?³ screen. My only complaint with the screen is that the glare is really bad when trying to use the unit outside. It gets so bed you might as well look at a mirror with a dark background This unit uses AMD rather than Intel meaning that it generates more heat. the performance of this notebook is quite good. It actually opens many apps much faster than my desktop PC, which is using an Intel Pentium dual core. So, there are no complaints about speed, but, it does generate a lot of heat heat. The HP Pavilion DV6 is a really nice, solid laptop and you really can?t go wrong with it. The price makes it very affordable. The unit has a nice, sleek design and good all-around performance. It also offers a solid balance of features which really makes this laptop usable as a desktop ...

HP Pavilion dv5

Advantages: Good quality laptop, great appearance
Disadvantages: Games are a no-no.

A well designed, high quality affordable laptop, the HP pavilion dv5 doesn't fail to please in looks, performance or price. In terms of look and design, flashy is a good word for it. It has a glossy black case which shines in the light, then you open it. The keyboard-surround is split horizontally: the bottom half is very light silver with a white check pattern, and the upper half perforated silver plastic. Around the edge of the laptop, there is a chrome-effect strip which sparkles and shimmers. Even the mouse pad has a finish that is so reflective you can see your face in it. This is the 'bling-bling' of the laptop world. It also feels pretty solid, I don't think you would be able to break it easily and I have faith in it's durability and robustness. It is also quite light, weighing 2.65kg, not bad for a laptop it's size. Ok ...

Review of HP Pavilion dv5

My essential travelling companion -my hp pavilion 2000x laptop

Advantages: Small and powerful , tablet form and touch screen, speedy, two batteries
Disadvantages: a bit heavy for travelling

Hewlett Packard Pavilion tx 2000 I have had this little laptop for over a year now. I feel it was quite expensive compared to what is available now; I think I paid about £600 from Staples for the laptop and three year warranty. It is not exactly a net book but it is a small laptop. The screen size is 12.5? diagonally and the keyboard is a decent size with a laptop type mouse pad in the middle front. I have weighed this (very important when travelling) and it weighs just under 2kg with one battery and just over that with the larger battery. The CD drive is also removable and can be replaced with an empty plastic cover which also reduces weight when travelling. It is small, neat, shiny black with rounded corners and silver keyboard. The screen swivels round completely and will lie flat as a tablet style over the keyboard. TABLET ...
