The HDMI connector was a must as I wanted to be able to hook it to my plasma tv and watch BBC iPlayer stuff. Unfortunately the sound isn't configured to run over the HDMI connector easily. I have fiddled around and managed to get it to work sometimes but the help feature isn't, well, that helpful.
Sound ... ...up to its promise of portability. The processor is fast and battery life good. It is amazingly cool underneath which is a boon when using on your lap for long periods. My work's Lenovo X61 is like a furnace in this regard.
The screen is bright and with great definition but susceptible to becoming much darker from fairly small changes in viewing angle.

Sound is impressive from such a small laptop and it's lived up to its promise of portability. The processor is fast and battery life good. It is amazingly cool underneath which is a boon when using on your lap for long periods. My work's Lenovo X61 is like a furnace in this regard.

The quality of construction is great.
Gripes: The classy looking bronze-coloured keys look great in the shop but in anything other than full light, it's impossible to see the lettering. I am a nearly a touch typist yet struggle all the time. Couldn't the letters be back lit or the writing be white on bronze? The headphone connectors are at the front which is annoying if using it in bed with your knees up as it slide towards your waist and digs the headphone jack into your belly. Serves me right for watching TV in bed I guess.
