The HP Pavilion dv6700 is a sleek and shiny notebook that will look good at home or on the road. All the power of a desktop, with all the convenience of a notebook PC at a price... more...that's right.
Advantages: Slick, lightweight design; good performance; built-in webcam; Disadvantages: Low battery life, glossy display can be reflective
thought 1280×800 was a good resolution to use for a 15.4â?³ screen. My only complaint with the screen is that the glare is really bad when trying to use the unit outside. It gets so bed you might as well look at a mirror with a dark background
This unit uses AMD rather than Intel meaning that it generates more heat. the performance of this notebook is quite good. It actually opens many apps much
faster than my desktop PC,
which is using an Intel Pentium dual core. So, there are no complaints about speed, but, it does generate a lot of heat heat.
The HPPavilionDV6 is a really nice, solid laptop and you really can?t go wrong with it. The price makes it very affordable.
The unit has a nice, sleek design and good all-around performance. It also offers a solid balance of features which really makes this laptop usable as
a desktop ...

Advantages: great entertainment laptop Disadvantages: portability
This laptop is the HPPaviliondv9820eaEntertainment. The HpPavilion models are made mainly for gaiming, watching movies on and various other entertainment needs whilst not compromising the ability to od serious work on these as well. One thing that is compromised though is the portability, entertainment laptops are made to keep at home and not really to carry about with you all the time, so whilst the specification may look good, don?t expect one of these to be very portable.
The Paviliondv9820ea combines two colours, silver and black in order to make it look very up to date and futuristic even. It appears nice and rounded, and its shell makes the laptop feel very stable and robust.
The installed ram on this laptop is great, it has a massive 3gb which is the main reason this laptop runs so fast, also the AMD Turion 64 X2 mobile ...
Advantages: Nice to use; wonderful screen and features Disadvantages: Appalling customer service; cracks on lid; poor A/C adaptor reliability
I purchased my HPPavilion Laptop (model number dv6625em) in January 2008 after my previous laptop finally stopped working (and was beyond repair after 4 years of use and multiple failing components). I did a lot of research in order to find the best laptop at a reasonable price (I had £500), because I have heard lots of horror stories about unreliable laptops, or ones that are unpleasant to use.
I chose the HPdv6625em because it matched my requirements and was available from John Lewis. They have a good name as a retailer and provided a free 2-year guarantee, which seemed sensible. I do not have a branch of John Lewis nearby, so I ordered it online.
I?m going to write mainly in the past tense, just as a style of writing. I do still own the laptop but I?m not currently using it, as I will explain later.
The laptop specifications are ...
Microsoft Works, Microsoft Windows Media Player, Microsoft Windows Movie Maker, HP QuickPlay Software, Adobe Reader 8.0, Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0, Microsoft Windows DVD Maker, Microsoft Windows Mail, Microsoft Windows Media Center, Microsoft Windows Photo Gallery, CyberLink DVD Suite, HP Total Care Advisor, Norton Internet Security 2008 (60 days subscription), Microsoft Office 2007 Home and Student Edition (60 days trial)
