HP Pavilion dv6

I was given this laptop as my birthday present and i am happy to say i have few complaints !

This laptop has a lovely design, a simple black colour (though it also was available in white) with circles on the top. It isnt too heavy and has a good built in webcam with a microphone which is very useful for talking to my friends and will be good if I go to university and would like to see my friends face to face. It is an entertainment laptop and is very fast and easy to use. It came pre-installed with Windows 7, which i have to say is a fantastic, fast system.

Being a naturally clumsy person, I haveof course already dropped it on the floor, but it escaped unscathed ! The laptop has a drop-protection system where when it somehow feels it is being dropped, it does something very clever that protects the motherboard. i cant remember exactly what that was.

It is fantastic with DVDs and music, and i can easily play any DVD knowing that it will be in fantastic quality. As the speakers are so good, my music sounds fantastic in the HP music player. I can play games easily and without any hitches whatsoever, which I love ! It also comes with wireless built in, and i found it very easy to connect to the network in my house. It is very fast and reliable.

However, there are couple of things that i really do not like, and one of those are how short the battery life is ! It lasts for 3 hours on my laptop which is awful, but as i dont need to be on the go much it doesnt really matter. However i do find this very annoying. The other thing would be that the laptop does not come with Microsoft Office, which i have learned that at lot dont now. I think this is bad and i just expected it to be on there. Now i have to spend more money on it.

In my opinion, for a lower price range laptop, this is fantastic quality and is very good value for money, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to invest in a really good laptop.
