The keyboard is a complete one with numeric keypad. ...with additional features like HDMI port and built in TV turner card and 320GB hard disk - HP DV9655ea. available for 650£'s on amazon when i last saw it. Would have gone for that one if it was available.

at the top of the keypad there are quick launch buttons provided.-for the dvd player and volume control buttons.
the 17" display is bright and gives clean, clear pictures.
but i feel the the laptop is a bit heavy at 3.55 kgs but that maybe i was used to 12" toshiba laptop which used to weigh less than 2kgs
the battery doesnt last very long. fully charged it goes for arnd 3hrs
