This laptop is the HP Pavilion dv9820ea Entertainment. The Hp Pavilion models are made mainly for gaiming, watching movies on and various other entertainment needs whilst not compromising the ability to od serious work on these as well. One thing that is compromised though is the portability, entertainment laptops are made to keep at home and not really to carry about with you all the time, so whilst the specification may look good, don?t expect one of these to be very portable.

The Pavilion dv9820ea combines two colours, silver and black in order to make it look very up to date and futuristic even. It appears nice and rounded, and its shell makes the laptop feel very stable and robust.

The installed ram on this laptop is great, it has a massive 3gb which is the main reason this laptop runs so fast, also the AMD Turion 64 X2 mobile technology TL-60 which is one of the newest processors makes this laptop run so fast. Another thing to note is that this processor runs at speeds like 2.8 Ghz, this is really good and I have never seen another laptop that's runs at these speeds, and all of this makes this laptop absolutely fantastic when it comes to running demanding software and programs.
And if the 3 gb isn't enough for you (although I cant see this amount ever not being big enough for you), then you can easily upgrade your ram to 4gb.

The hard drive also doesn?t disappoint, it offers a 250 GB storage space, and lets face it, if your really using your laptop for entertainment then your probably going to need it too.

Its TFT screen, measures 17 inches, this is great for watching movies on, watching video clips on and makes gaming so much better too. This screen is also active matrix, this is being used by so much more laptop manufacturers nowadays as it makes the screen lighter, therefore making the laptop lighter, is makes the image quality so much better than a normal TFT screen and it also makes the response time a lot better, which makes videos look sharper, photos look sharper and game playing look better than ever before.

The laptop also sports built in card reader, this can read any of SD Memory Card, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, Memory Stick Duo. This makes transferring pictures and videos off your camera or off your phones a lot easier than having to connect everything by wires and having one built into this laptop means you don't have to go out and spend another £20 on buying a card reader.
It also has a built in webcam at the top left hand side of the screen which unlike many other built in webcams is actually really good quality meaning you wont need to go pout and buy a new one as the built in one is rubbish quality like you would with some other laptops.

Obviously because of its large size, and huge screen its not going to be the most portable laptop out there, and it probably shouldn?t be used as one.
However its not that much over the weight of average laptops at only 3.8 kg.
Its battery life isn?t too bad either, it will last you nearly 2 hours of use however this may depend on how demanding you are with it.

This laptop is fantastic for gaming, watching movies on, and its good for everyday browsing and work too.
If you need a laptop that your going to just use about the house then this is a great choice. However if you need something that your going to have to take out with you then this is just not an option.

Do you own all these laptops that you are so fond of reviewing or do you just trawl the internet looking for newly released machines and write reviews based around their specifications ? Seems you have a good formula here. All the reviews are essentially the same with the only difference being the numbers you place in between the words. e.g. This has xGb of RAM. This has y card readers, the battery lasts z hours etc
