HP really is one of the most popular products in terms of computer hardware productions but I was not even aware that they have their own camera product that is amazing the first time I saw it.
This is how I got encounter with this. I went to shop specifically for camera photo and before that I even wished that hp will ever have a product in another category apart form their computer hard ware production mostly printers and as a hp printer owner, I liked it and wished that I will ever get their other product. As a dream come true it came to live when I was able to find that hp had a powerful photo camera.
Well bought it and was happy with it and most of its features I was delighted with them.
The hp photo smart 635 is a photo that I will recommend for those who love cameras.
I am delighted with it and comfortable with its hard ware memory that will enable sufficient storage capabilities.
It has 2-mega pixels sensor and 1636x1236 images for prints up to 8x10inches.
With 3x optical plus 4xdigital zoom lens (12x), you will be able to view or take a snap of any object be it short or long distance comfortably and with a more advanced photo image.
I am not surprised with all these features and what really do you expect from hp? This is really what hp got to offer.
Quite easy to use but have to note one thing, don’t neglect the instruction manual because this is the real company’s direction. It also has an auto focus 1.6-inches lcd, and also with a capture video with sound that is limited only by amount of memory.
I got more comfortable with this device the more when I found out that it has 16 mb internal memory that is compatible with secure digital and mmc memory cards.
Powered by 2AA batteries( alkaline included rechargeable recommended).
Connects to pcs and mags via usb 1.1 is also applicable.
It has a lens system F2.g (wide), F4.95( tele)I glass: auto focus.
Focal range: At about 0.1m to infinity (Wide) 0.8m to infinity telephoto and has an optical viewfinder, LCD. Imaging technology: auto focus, auto exposure white balance( auto sun , share, tungsten, fluorescent, colour mode and with an exposure rating of 150,100,200,400. Shooting mode: Single shot, self-timer and also has an lcd display of 4.06(1.6) Diagonal display size lcd, 354x 240= 84960 dots.
It also has a sound capture that is limited to available memory. And also an interface usb that is compatible with usb 2.0 specifications.
With an optional connectivity, hp photo smart 3.3-volt ac adapter and with 2AA batteries.
Compatible operations: Microsoft windows 98, me, 2000 professional xp professional and hp home edition. Also has HP photo and imaging software.
It weighs 0.41 pounds without 2AA battery and 0.52 pounds with 2AA.
SYSTEMS REQUIRED: Pentium II processor, celeron or compatible 64 MB RAM, 175mb free hard disk space, SUGA 800X 600, 16-bit display and memories disk creator software requires.
FANTASTIC FEATURES I think.
Note this, if you have a HP printer or computer, the software loading pics is even easier.
And if you are having problem with your batteries keep three sets of reachable rayoval ic3 6 total and you don’t forget to remove those batteries while going to sleep to save the lives if you don’t, want the battery die overnight or becomes weak. And if you take the shots without the pix on, the battery might last for a day.
VERDICTS. One of the most sophisticated cameras I have ever seen, with advanced lens and viewfinder, the HP smart shots in never a problem and views accurate images. The 700mb additional hard disk space is also a great advantage for memory and storage and on the other hand just like I wrote above, a HP printer or computer even enables the software loading pics video easier so this is an advantage to those that own its printer or computer.
The only problem that I am having with this hp camera device is that it has a lot of battery problem that is normal with every camera device.
I have to stop here and I hope that my review on this machine will I say has given you enough courage for your buying decision.

It is absolutely the worst camera I ever had. The battery time is very low, it works for about 15 minutes with fully charged batteries, and only if I'm not using the flash at all. The picture quality is pretty bad, it tends to pixelize the pictures somewhy, and it's very noisy. Fortunately, it doesn't have too much hotpixels.
The audio quality is very bad too. It doesn't have a speaker, and the record is almost always disorted.

Advantages: Easy Connectivity to PC. Disadvantages: Picture Quality.
The HP Photosmart Digital Camera is a fair product. It is a 2.1 Megapixel Camera with 3 optical and 4 Digital Zoom. Basically the 3 Optical Zoom is Good but it is not worth using the Digital Zoom as the picture gets very blur. The camera is abit big in size. I would prefer a camera that would fit in the pocket. And the camer is not very light. The other downside is the batteries, Compared to other camera's this camera drains the batteries very quickly. ... ...indoors and when outside on a dull day. The pictures come out very dull. The flash on this camera is very weak and doesnt help at all. The camera does have a night mode but that is also not good unless the object is within 2 meters of you.
I have the camera for 6 months and would like to sell it and but a better quality camera. ...
