HP PhotoSmart D7160 - one year of use

Advantages: Easy to use. Good colour reproduction. Easy to change inkjets.
Disadvantages: Must use 100 gsm paper or else printer constantly jams or damages output

I bought this printer because I was fed up forking out lots of money for ink jet cartridges which would run out of one colour and mean that the rest of the ink was unused. So in December 2007 I purchased the HP PhotoSmart D7160. This printer has individual inkjet cartridges for each colour. However in January 2008 the printer just packed up and would not work. I contacted Hewlett Packard and explained that I had no idea why it would not work. They were very helpful, non-judgemental and identified the problem (technical and beyond my ken) and arranged for me to send the printer back. The carrier collected it and replaced it with a brand new printer. It worked like a dream. The aftersales service cannot be faulted. I use the printer for making leaflets and printing photgraphs. Review of HP PhotoSmart D7160

One of the most reliable printers

Advantages: Good memory, solid.
Disadvantages: Annoyingly shrill beep when the thing does require help.

HP COLOUR LESERJET CP1515n I am currently using this printer. I am now getting the value for my money. It prints fast at a speed of up to 8ppm colour and 12ppm black, clear and high quality upto 600x600dpi. It has duplex print options, 2 paper trays with input capacity of a maximum 150 sheets and maximum output of 125sheets. It has a high processor speed of 45mhz, supports nearly all media types i.e brochure, colour, glossy, photo, plain, preprinted, recycled, rough, lebels,envelopes etc. It prints on A4, A5, A6 media sizes and has a 1144 pin DDR2 Dimm slot with a memory of 96 - 352mb.
