To begin, this really is a great printer, and it prints photos with superb quailty, at a really good price. Also, as with most HP models, you replace the ink and the print header, which means that you don't have to worry about cleaning the heads all the time.
The D5160 has a very useful feature, two paper trays, an A4 at the front and a 10x15 behind, meaning you don't have to keep re-sizing the tray to fit your paper.
Another wonderful feature is the memory card slots; you can just take the memory card out of your digital camera and place it in the printer's memory card slot (it has a number of different card slots, incl. SD and MMC). Also, it has a USB port, so you can plug your camera right into it.
The printer comes with HP's own software, so you don't have to buy any extra software. It catalogues all of your photos and makes it so simple to print them. As an added bonus, it has editing software, which is limited but can still provide you with the raw basic tools needed to, say, crop an image.
Finally, the printer also allows you to print CD and DVD surfaces.
