HP Photosmart D7260 Inkjet I bought this printer mainly to print photo’s. On opening the box i was instantly enthralled with the in built card readers. There is no need for a computer, as you can choose and edit your pics on an all be it small screen, but a screen none the less! The look of this printer is a bit... square? it is quite big and bulky, and needs its own space in a room! but does however feel good quality, and doesn’t look like it’s going to snap or break at any minute. I bought this because I wanted a network attached printer with an auto double sided capability and I wanted good colour printing. OK, the double sided bit works fine usually, the colour printing is good unless you want to print photos!! The netwoprk support is absolutely appalling. I'm running several computers with XP Pro and Win 7 64 bit. The XP machines, by and large, work OK with the printer but the Win 7 HP SP! 64 bit works after the software is first installed and then after some random time (within a week usually) stops working in a number of ways. This printer isn't really worth it's price tag, the image quality is pretty poor for an inkjet printer and I would definately expect more for my money. There are better printers out there which you can buy for around the same price. I think to get a really decent printer you'll have to pay over £100 at least. All said, the built in screen is a pretty cool feature and works very well. Sufficient memory card slots which work with ease. Easy enough to connect and install onto your PC.
