Advantages: Weather resistant with great software included Disadvantages: Eats battery's like donuts!!!
...for a much more respectable, HP instead.
But was this any better than the rest?
I was first impressed with this little number whilst looking for my replacement camera. To me it was 'the one' because it had many great features on it, including 4 Megapixels, a 6X digital zoom as well as panorama and red eye removal assistance. Great. Then, I hit my first snag. Once I got my new baby home, to my horror, there was no USB cable or batteries in it plus ... ...everything available to me. The HP adaptive lighting technology is fantastic, a good mode to have on all of the time. The picture quality is also good but can struggle a little under limited, artificial light which isn't much of a surprise.
It's lightweight and quite durable which is a good thing about this camera. It also fits roughly in the palm of your hand, another thing I personally liked about this.
The red eye removal feature is a good one ...

Advantages: Pocket Sized, Durable, Easy To Use Disadvantages: Battery Life Not Very Long
I have owned my HP Photosmart M22 for over a year now, and it is the best digital camera i've had so far.
It is easy to use with the slide open lens, and takes brilliant pictures.
It also does video footage - this function is a good idea but the film doesn't come out too well if its dark.
Taking the pictures from the camera to the PC is simple too, with just plugging the USB cable in and off you go.
The only disadvantage i have found to be with ...

Advantages: Weatherproof!!!!!! Disadvantages: Drains batteries very quickly (or seems to with mine!)
I did have a fuji camera, which I loved. The only thing was, if I went anywhere and it was raining (as so frequently happens in the UK), I was scared to get my camera out.
My main reason for buying this camera in the first place was it's claim to be weatherproof. And LO! I have used it in rain and shine! I have also had beer spilled on it at a party, and while it was a little sticky, it still produced the goods....excellent quality pictures!
What ... ...extensive menus, and help pages are a plus point, as you don't have to keep referring back to the paper manual if you need help quickly!
My only problem is that it seems to drain batteries very quickly. I have tried several brands of rechargeable and non rechargeable batteries, all to the same effect. So I have to take a stash of batteries with me, and if I am on holiday, a charger too!
Overall I think it is a great camera for those who are looking ...

Advantages: v v user friendly Disadvantages: still and video button easily confused
This little camera might have been made for a fifty-something wrinkly with a hate of anything technical. The camera does exactly what it says in the very short, succinct and easy to understand instruction manual. It is my first digital camera and I am amazed at how easy it is to use and the picture clarity is superb. Can't understand why anyone should want any more pixels than this little beauty. It is also comfortable to handle and fits easily into ... ...get scratched quite easily and a protective cover or pouch may have been an ideal inclusive accessory. The only thing that I find is a little inconvenient is that the buttons for the still pics and the video pics are very close together and it is not difficult to press video by mistake and this eats batteries!Excellent value for money. ...

Advantages: fantastic camera for the price and idiot proof! Disadvantages: none
I recently had one of these bought for me to use at work...i'm a nursery nurse and was paying a fortune in disposable cameras!! I am a real techno phobe...hate any kind of gadget, so disposables are safe!! But now i am hooked!! The M22 is a great price, but do shop around as they can vary from £70 - £120 so the cheaper the better. Ideal for anyone new to digi photography and you don't have to be a computer nerd to print off either just connect the ... ...comes with a Usb lead and a disc but there is no need to use the disc if you don't want to, just attach the usb to camera and usb port and follow instructions on your screen. The prints are great, but would reccomend that you purchase a bigger memory card as the internal memory is only 16MB and that is only enough for about 12 decent prints. The camera takes an SD memory card, these are readily available from most photographic retailers. You can ...

Advantages: Small and Lightweight, Easy to Use Disadvantages: Poor Customer Support, Short battery life
...I bought this camera as a bundle deal last Christmas thinking that by choosing a HP product, I was buying into a reliable brand and excellent features.
Whilst I do not deny that the camera is very easy to use, takes great little pictures and fits easily in your pocket, I have found a couple of faults with it.
Firstly there is the poor customer support. After buying an SD card for use in the camera I came to upload my pictures only to find nothing there. Eventually it turned out to be the card at fault but the customer service during that time was especially hard work. After going online I was told that I would have to ring a call centre as the online help was based in the US. The call centre was only open certain hours and then their advice was to go back online and download some program which you then had to transfer onto...
