I have just bought a HP Camera. Its the Photosmart M737 model and finished in a lovely silver colour. The casing itself is hard plastic but also very lightweight to carry. One thing you will notice thats different is that it lacks an optical viewfinder. Therefore when you are framing pictures, you will need to rely on the bright, clear and very large 2.5 inch colour screen on the rear. It does have a finger lip on the front for steadying pictures and holding the camera. It also has a small but strong carry strap. It takes 2 AA type batteries which means they dont recharge internally as a lot of modern cameras do. A set of batteries seem to last around 100 average type pictures. I do like the high range optical zoom that is able to focus in on very close objects as well as distant objects. The resolution does not seem to drop off. My husband has a similar camera with identical Megapixels (8 on both cameras) yet this seems to zoom much smoother and able to focus on much closer items. The pictures it takes are very clear with bright colours and sharp images. Reviewing images is also very easy by using the screen on the rear. Selecting taking pictures, recording video and reviewing pictures is easy using the slide switch. The video also seems clear and also includes sound although this cannot be heard on the camera. Sound is only audible when played back on a computer. Pictures can be either exported via an included USB cable or you can insert and remove SD cards for storing pictures.
I really like my camera and its relatively cheap at £110
This camera is very user friendly. There is a slide switch which you slide across depending on whether you want to take a picture, video or playback. The zoom (3x optical zoom) is also very good for taking pictures that are in the distance whilst keeping the details of the image. It has a large screen (6.35cm) to view and take pictures which is very convenient. It looks good and you will not be embarassed to take pictures with this camera. It takes ... ...well as a feature called adaptive lighting which gives you a better picture depending on your surroundings. Also there is a feature to add frames to your photos and to save them in black & white and sepia. Brillant value for money! There is nothing i dislike about this camera ...

Planning to snap photos at upcoming events, or just catch your family's and friends' daily activities? Consider the HP Photosmart M737. It's heavy on the megapixels (8) and zoom (24x total). You'll be able to clearly see your subjects and your photos on the 2.5" Auto-bright display, which automatically adjusts to lighting conditions to preserve the battery. Added bonus: once you've finished being a shutterbug, you can do cool things like "slimming" people's physiques and putting borders around your favorite shots.
