Advantages: Printer quality will lost for many many years Disadvantages: please check my Drawbacks list with this printer:
I had brought this printer particularly to print my beautiful photos. Based on my experience the photos quality is simply superb. I have stuck few A3 size (bigger scenery photos) photos on my room walls without any laminations, already few months ago and I'm cleaning dust with cloth once in a while but still the photo print quality is very good, not seen even small shading on the print. I never had seen this kind of print quality in my life time. I recommend this printer to buy for printing photos.

It consumes too much of ink and ink bags are sky high price.
After a few months the whole printer with full of aerosol ( full of ink)

So in December 2007 I purchased the HPPhotoSmart D7160. This printer has individual inkjet cartridges for each colour. However in January 2008 the printer just packed up and would not work. I contacted Hewlett Packard and explained that I had no idea why it would not work. They were very helpful, non-judgemental and identified the problem (technical and beyond my ken) and arranged for me to send the printer back.
The carrier collected it and replaced it with a brand new printer. It worked like a dream. The aftersales service cannot be faulted.
I use the printer for making leaflets and printing photgraphs. This means I tend to use a lot of blue and black ...
