...however, it was made by Hp and was a great price, there was one left in stock so it was mine! I paid the rather good price of £99, that is good for a 7.2 megapixle camera, but there was an extra! Included in the pack was a free Hp printer, not one of those cheaply made printers but a full size colour photo printer with a built in scanner. I did not know this was included at first but it certainly put a smile on my face when the camera came down the ... ...into the PC. A little Hp box pops up and takes all of the photos automatically. The software is then very easy to use to delete and modify pictures. You can remove red eye, I find this odd as the camera is meant to have red eye prevention built in? Why have it on the software too? Must be for backup:)

When my old camera decided to throw itself off a cliff it was time to get a new one. Well it didn't quite decided to drop over the cliff's edge, I was taking a picture of the sunset and the cord snapped! Great. Well it was an excuse to get a new one anyway!
My search began, the funds were rather low at the time so I wanted a camera that was easy to use, takes nice snaps and will survive my heavy handed ways! I was in Argos and I really don't like the fact that you cannot feel the product before you buy, however, it was made by Hp and was a great price, there was one left in stock so it was mine! I paid the rather good price of £99, that is good for a 7.2 megapixle camera, but there was an extra! Included in the pack was a free Hp printer, not one of those cheaply made printers but a full size colour photo printer with a built in scanner. I did not know this was included at first but it certainly put a smile on my face when the camera came down the Argos chute and the member of staff handed me two boxes:) It was like Christmas day!
When I got the camera home it was time to open the box. Inside I found;
The camera itself, A carry case, Battery, USB Lead Pc software and the charger. Oh and not forgetting the lovely thick book of instructions that I can never be bothered to read!

Setting it up; *************
The camera was extremely easy to set up. I had already purchased a memory card and this is easily inserted into the side of the camera. The next step is to insert the battery and charge for 6 hours. After those 6 hours your camera will be ready and you can start snapping the moments you want to remember, well I do anyway!
To take a picture it is extremely simple, just turn the camera on with the button on the top, from then on it's basically point and click. However, this camera does have auto focus so you will have to hold the button down halfway until you hear the beep, when the beep is heard you can be assured that you picture is focussed and you will have a lovely shot!
My first picture - I was very impressed with this, my old Casio camera was very nice but for picture quality this camera wins. The colours looked very real and the picture looked fantastic, excellent clarity and the big screen displays the pictures nicely. There is also a function to add time and date to your pictures, I know most cameras these days do have this! But I really like it. The time and date must be set on the camera first otherwise you will have some out of date shots! I forgot to do this before and all my pictures were dated 1999, this camera was not even made in the year 1999, where did that come from?
The flash on this camera is really great, it is very bright but is very natural light, my old camera had a very white flash, all of the pictures came out looking false but no problems with this cameras flash yet.
I have also tested the zoom on this when taking picture of planes passing over, how sad is that? lol! Well I must say, it works very well. The camera has 3 x optical zoom which is okay but the total zoom is 21 x. When you go over the 3 x zoom the quality obviously decreases as it goes digital, it does however maintain the quality very well.
Quality and battery *********************
The camera really is fantastic quality. It is made out of very strong plastic and coated in a very nice silver finish. The finish must also be good quality as I have dropped this camera many times and it is still unscratched. For the low price of £99 which included a free printer I really was not expecting much on the quality side of things, I was very wrong! I have actually dropped this from 3 foot and it survived to tell the tale.
The size of the camera is very nice, it is rather small and fits into any pocket with ease. It is also very thin at about three quarters of an inch. That is very slim for most cameras. It's definately not the slimmest available but it is not bad at all.
The battery is great on this camera, gone are the days of having to spend all of your hard earned cash on AA batteries only for them to last a few minutes. This camera has a battery inside that is easily rechargeable. The only annoying thing is that the battery must be removed to be recharged, on my old camera I could just plug the charger cable straight into the camera, makes life a little more complicated but nothing to worry about... But! The battery on this camera is so amazing that I hardly ever have to remove to recharge. I charged this camera at Easter, took around 20 photos every weekend and it made it to September! I don't know if that is normal? but that is a great battery life in my opinion. Thumbs up to that. Maybe someone charged it secretly in-between? I am unsure!
How to transfer pictures: ***************************
The pictures are very easy to put onto your computer. First thing you must do is install the software provided. This is on CD and is very easy to do. I found it very simple and I am rather bad when it comes to technology, I managed to have it up and running in under a minute.

Advantages: small, light, easy to use, fantastic battery life. Disadvantages: Lens a little too close to the edge
I am in no way a professional photographer, indeed I am more a 'point, click and pray for the best' type photographer, but this camera has made my results much better than expected. I actually got this camera as a second choice after the one I wanted was out of stock but I'm very glad I did.
The best way to explain how easy it is to use is to tell you that my three year old daughter can work it. It is small and light and takes both photographs and ... ...quality settings I can get around 18 pictures before the memory is full but it is easily expandable using a memory card.
Another point I really like is the battery. Instead of carrying 8 spare AA batteries round with you at all times, there is just one battery which comes with its own charger...no battery costs ! I charged the battery at Christmas and it is still 3/4 full.
A small flick of a switch and you can view photographs and videos already ...

I bought this camera about six weeks ago and i would recommend it. The pictures are of a very high quality, it is easy to use and has a wide range of functions. it is simple in design and you can take it anywhere. I would recommend that if you do get this camera that you also get a memory card with it as it doesn't have a lot of photos otherwise. other than that the camera is well worth purchasing. ...
